Technip has been present in Asia-Pacific for more than 25 years. In 1998, Technip as part

of its expansion in Asia Pacific, established a subsidiary in Indonesia: PT Technip Indonesia

(PTTI), which services the Indonesian Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and General Industrial

Sectors. The Balikpapan branch of PTTI was opened in July 2001 to support the

engineering requirements of the contracts awarded to PTTI by Oil and Gas Companies in

East Kalimantan.
