Each classroom is equippedwith ACTIVBoard and ACTIVote technology.
An internal internet site isstocked with maps, flipcharts, and lessons. Teachers can project these materials on the ACTIVboard. As the teacher andstudents work with thesematerials, working out problemsor writing answers, the teacher can save the work to the

W hat I learned from the interviewDuring my 30-minute interview with the Network Administrator for Rosa ParksElementary School, I learned how the network is set up for the school. Because I amso new to the hardware side of technology, many of the terms used for equipmentand the network was very confusing to me. I brought home my notes and had tolook up quite a bit of information on the internet and in our readings to learn moreabout what I wrote down. She was very nice and tried to explain it to me in
simplified terms. It really was quite overwhelming to me at first, but after doingsome research on my own, I think I am beginning to understand!
The school district would not allow me to take any photographs of their serverequipment, both at the school or at the district office without prior approval fromadministrators, which they said would take several days to obtain. Because I do not
have time to wait for that approval, I took a lot of notes on what I was being toldand made a rough diagram of what I believe I learned from my experience. I wasable to take a few pictures in the school of classrooms and some equipment, butthat was all.
My diagram that I made about the school network is on the following slide
