These are dominating the film industry being used usually to make films
Though film seems to be at the pinnacle as IMAX is still accentuated as the best.
These are rarely used but are continuously used for commercials (ad’s), some T.V programs etc.
Film and Digital have been fighting for superiority over the uses they give for the human
race
There’s been various film types that have been introduced and still being introduced to this day.
Today the best camera to use is the IMAX film cameras due to the films sizes making it the best quality.

SD is a television system that
uses a resolution that is not
considered to be either high-
definition television (HDTV
720p and 1080p) or
enhanced-definition television
(EDTV 480p).
High-definition television (HDTV) provides a
resolution that is substantially higher than that of
standard-definition television. HDTV may be
transmitted in various formats: 1080p -
1920 1080p: 2.1 megapixels etc. The letter "p"
here stands for progressive scan while "i"
indicates interlaced.
The two common SDTV signal
types are 576i, with 576
interlaced lines of resolution,
derived from the European-
developed PAL and SECAM
systems; and 480i based on the
American National Television
System Committee NTSC
system.
Online editing is an older post-production linear video editing process that is performed in the final stage of a video production. The term online originated in the telecommunication industry, meaning "Under the direct control of another device" The term 'Online' changed from its original meaning to where the pictures are re-assembled at full or 'online' resolution.
Linear video editing is a video editing post-production process of selecting, arranging and modifying images and sound in a predetermined, ordered sequence. Regardless whether captured by a video camera, tapeless camcorder, recorded in a television studio on a video tape recorder (VTR) the content must be accessed sequentially.
Offline editing is part of the post-production process of filmmaking and television production in which raw footage is copied and edited, without affecting the camera original film stock or video tape. Once the project has been completely offline edited, the original media will be assembled in the online editing stage. The term offline originated in the computing and telecommunications industries, meaning "not under the direct control of another device" (automation).
A non-linear editing system (NLE) is a video - (NLVE) or audio editing (NLAE) digital audio workstation (DAW) system which can perform non-destructive editing on the source material. It is named in contrast to 20th century methods of linear video editing and film editing. Non-linear editing is the most natural approach when all assets are available as files on video servers or hard disks rather than recordings on reels or tapes, while linear editing is related to the need to sequentially view a film or read a tape to edit it. Non-linear editing enables direct access to any video frame in a digital video clip, without needing to play or scrub/shuttle through adjacent footage to reach it
