The hottest and latest technology news this past week includes smart buys on smartphones and smart watches. First and foremost, for those of you looking to upgrade your smart-phones this may be the time for you. Just recently in the past week Samsung unveiled their new addition to their galaxy family, the Samsung Galaxy S5. This device features a much better camera for very clear and crisp HD pictures, a much newer proccessor to make it an even speedier phone than before, a bigger and brighter screen, and also the addition of a finger-print scanner on the home button. You will be able to get this phone in a few different colors on AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint in the next few months. If you do not care about these new features then you could get the Galaxy S4 last year’s model for about $100 to $150 less with a 2-year contract. For anyone planning on buying a new phone or ditching your wire-less contracts this may be the time for you. There is currently a deal going on at Virgin Mobile a no-contract prepaid carrier. Right now you can get a brand new iPhone 5C for $299.99 with no-contract and an unlimited talk, text, and data plans starting at $35 a month.

If you are looking for a smartwatch, a company called Pebble has just released one of their new smartwatch models called the Pebble Steel. It comes with a stainless steel band and also a leather one for those of you who prefer that different style. The Pebble Steel has several hundreds of apps and is compatible with iPhones and all android phones. You check out this watch right now for $249.99 at their website www.getpebble.com.
