Timber is the only truly renewable construction material, with the lowest energy consumption of any building material across its lifecycle.The use of timber in the construction of buildings aims to achieve negative net CO2 emissions.

The timber used for the construction of the office building stores approx. 750 tones of carbon for the life of the building.

▪ Pune în evidență inerția termică a produselor ceramice

▪ Perete multistratificat compus dintr-un perete structural cu inerţie termică ridicată, din cărămidă vopsită în culori închise, şi o suprafaţă vitrată,despărţite de un spaţiu de ventilare

▪ Deschiderea orificiului de evacuare superior, pe perioada verii, pentru ventilaţie, face din peretele Trombe un horn solar având rolul de ventilator natural în timpul zilei

Permeable Parking to prevent heat island effect, avoid flooding and allow the soil beneath to receive the nutrients it requires.

Sustainable Transportation by providing electric charge stations in order to encourage the use od hybrid or electric cars in the future.

Sustainable Transportation to focus on eco mobility from an early age and environmental friendly behavior.



Vegetation Barrier by using trees, wild plants and local species for the green areas so that existing natural balance can be preserved.

Buffer Zones – peaceful and relaxing areas. Shielded from noise and traffic, children can enjoy outdoor with optimal privacy.





Courtyards Pockets – protect from weather conditions, providing connections to the playgrounds and the garden.





Central Plaza – praises the historic central square of the traditional city as a threshold between nature and architecture.





Connectivity. Protected, semi-openedspaces allow free movement among spacescharacterized by specific privacy degree andusers.

In-between Spaces – provide uninterruptedcommunication among various outdooractivities and interior spaces.







Flexible space limits– define the interiorcommons spaces without enforcing rigidconstraints, reflecting the playfull movementof the children





Increased common spaces with two major benefits on the learningprocess and the school’s atmosphere:- allowing social interaction among students- encouraging them to chose the way a space works in their own

perspective and interpretation, leading to a strong bond not onlyamong users, but also between them and their affiliated places.











Functional areas are legible from the exterior, enabling bothautonomous use of the interior spaces and the simultaneous functioningfor complementary purposes.This helps children get a sense of the space, by making it easy torecognize, understand and memorize.

Green Roofs for social activities and urban farming– improve thermal performance,preventing rapid temperature fluctuations and overheating effects throughout the day.They also protect against dust, acting as a buffer for heavy rains and complete thelandscape because of the use of local plants.













Social and Educational Challenge:Bringing back the crowd in Common Spaces.



Words … are little houses, each with its cellar and garret. Common sense lives on the ground floor, always ready to engage in ‘foreigncommerce’ on the same level as the others, as the passers-by, who are never dreamers. To go upstairs in the word house is to withdrawstep by step; while to go down to the cellar is to dream, it is losing oneself in the distant corridors of an obscure etymology, looking fortreasures that cannot be found in words. To mount and descend in the words themselves—this is a poet’s life.
