Our six session tot soccer program is a

great way to spend some quality time with your little one, as you are both

introduced to the game of soccer! This station based, parent involved program is instructed by our Parks & Recreation

staff and focuses on skills and drills while having fun plenty of fun! The

program includes a team t-shirt for your tot. Equipment needed: shin guards, lots of energy and plenty of

smiles!

Warmer weather has arrived and that means it’s time to head outdoors. We

are gearing up for a season of spring flag football, tot soccer,

and America’s favorite past time; baseball.

This edition features plenty of offering for the months of May and June,

stay tuned for our summer camp edition, heading your way soon!

Tot Baseball

Does your little one want to learn how to play baseball? Well then, sign up for our instruction

based, parent involved program, perfect for boys and girls ages 3 & 4 years old. Your favorite tot

will enjoy learning how to bat, catch, field, and have plenty of fun with their team mates.

This program is instructed by parks and recreation staff and with two sessions to choose from

you can sign up your tot for one or both!

Cost: $50; $40 City Resident

*All sessions are held at Cal Zorn Recreation Center on Russell Rd.*

Join us this summer for some fun co-ed baseball

action! This league is for boys and girls ages 5-6

years old. Players will focus on learning the

basics of the game while making friends along

the way. The season will consist of practices and

games throughout the entire season.

This is a t-ball league with the possibility of

coach pitch towards the end of the season (no

machine pitch). Batting helmets, bats, and

catchers equipment will be provided by the Parks

& Recreation; players must have their own mitt

and ball cap. Metal cleats are prohibited.

We have made some exciting changes to our

spring co-ed flag football program! During this

six session program, participants will work

with coaches and parks and recreation staff to

fine tune their skills at training session sta-

tions. Scrimmages will cap off each session so

players can test out their new skills. By the

end of the program, kids will learn some great

tips in the following areas: moving the ball,

passing, flag pulling, working as a team, and

much much more. The final night of the pro-

gram will feature games, complete with a tail-

gate party. See you on the grid iron!

A team tee shirt is included in the cost of the

program along with a mouth guard. Players

must wear a mouth guard during all sessions. Additional mouth guards cost $2 and can be pur-

chased throughout the season, if needed.

Spring Flag Football

Bowling Camp

What is your child doing in their “spare” time? Why not register

them in our new summer bowling camp! Ten Pin Alley is looking forward to teaching your child the basics of bowling and having

tons of fun. Camp price includes shoe rental, use of a house ball, and games.

Fishing Derby

Hey kids, are you ready to have some

REEL fun? Join us June 11 at Tecumseh

Park located at 403 Adrian Street in Te-

cumseh. Our free fishing derby starts at

9 am. Tecumseh parks & recreation staff

along with local bass fishing legend,

John Alcodray, will be on hand to assist

anglers, and share a few tips. You could

even win a prize! Busch’s Fresh Food

Market will cap things off with a free hot

dog lunch for all of our participants.

Canoe and Kayak Races

Ready! Set! Row! Bring the whole family and join us for

our annual Canoe and Kayak Races on June 18.

Races begin at 10 AM and we have heats designed for

children, adults, and families. Grab your family and

friends for a great morning out on Globe Mill Pond.

11-14 year old Tennis Camp

Summer Tennis for 11-14 year olds is right around the corner.

Even if your child has never picked up a racquet, there is a

spot in this program for them. Adrienne Prielipp one of the

Women’s Tennis coaches from Defiance College will be

instructing our action packed 60 minute camp sessions.

All campers need to bring an age appropriate

tennis racquet and water.
