WHY?Even though Ben Goldacre was very informative and was able to hold the attention of the audience, I felt he could have been more entertaining. I felt as if he held my attention by giving me facts that concern my lively hood, I paid attention more for the information than the actual talk.

What I Learned

I Learned that using facts is a useful way of conveying a message, however, no sort of entertainment within your talk may cause you to lose some of youraudience.

My Advice

My advice would be to study the TED commandments and try to include a little bit of everything in your talk. Be funny, tell interesting stories, and use facts.

Joel Osteen is one of my favorite preachers, his messages have always spoken to me in some way. Every sermon he preaches he begins with a joke to capture the attention of his audience.
