UpsettingTejas Tubular upsets its tubing in accordance with

API specifications and customer requirements.

Heat TreatTejas Tubular performs two types of heat treatment:

Quench and Temper (Q&T), and Normalizing

(Norm). Tejas Tubular uses induction furnaces for

the heat treatment of products.

EMI & SEATejas Tubular performs a Special End Area

Inspection and a Full Body Electro Magnetic

Inspection consisting of a four function inspection

(longitudinal, transverse; wall thickness; and

component grade verification).

End FinishingTejas Tubular’s end finishing production lines

are equipped with the latest technology in CNC

machines and handling equipment. Each tube is

machined above and beyond API specifications

to stricter half tolerances. Additionally, each tube

is fitted with a coupling manufactured by Tejas

Tubular.

Mechanical TestingTejas Tubular Products has a fully equipped

mechanical testing laboratory which provides a wide

range of capabilities to perform the mechanical

testing required for tubular goods to meet client

and API standards.

Coil SlittingTejas Tubular ERW Mill performs in-house slitting

of coils to ensure accurate slit width and proper

finish of slit edges. Both the width and the finish

of slit edges are critical in ensuring the proper

welding of the finished tube.

Electric Resistance Welding (ERW)Tejas Tubular utilizes high frequency solid state

induction welding to weld tubing and casing. Welding

capabilities of the ERW Mill are 1.660” – 4.500” OD

tubing and casing. Quality of the weld is verified with

an in-line Ultrasonic inspection system as well as a

fully functional metallurgical lab. Metallurgical lab

capabilities include microscopic measurements of the

weld, micro-structures of the weld, tensile testing and

chemical analysis of the steel.
