Optica Security Systems formed in 1990 relocated from Harrogate to Leeds in December 2005 and is SSAIB (Security Systems and Alarms Inspection Board) approved for Intruder Alarms, Access Control and CCTV, which is accredited by UKAS.
Training is a big part of our continued investment in providing an excellent service with all engineers and staff been continually trained on new and existing products, legislation and health and safety. All apprentices are placed on college placements for four years aiming towards NVQ accreditation with constant onsite training providing the industry with highly trained competent engineers.
Optica Security Systems are recognised by all police forces and monitor systems via our 24hr control centre providing monitoring and response 365 days of the year. CCTV systems can be utilised for many different applications monitoring buildings for intruders, staff, stock, safety of employees and visitors, whatever the demand the correct system design is vital taking into consideration light levels, recording duration, picture updates, etc. At Optica Security Systems we can assist and advise you on the correct system to meet your specific requirements.
CCTV systems have come a long way in the last few years moving from time-lapse VCRs to digital recording with price reductions on machines making them a much more viable option. Systems can vary from the most basic to multiple camera systems consisting of static and fully functional cameras. These systems can be monitored via our central station using external motion detection to trigger the transmission device. Number plate recognition can added and public address systems allowing central station and staff to speak directly to areas covered by CCTV cameras.
CCTV systems can also be viewed over a local or wide area network or internet browser providing full control of functional cameras and viewing of live and recorded images, utilising software many different sites can be integrated together. The New Digital Media Centre is a unique office building based built by the Council to provide office space for numerous businesses. Optica Security Systems undertook the installation of a sitewide integrated Intruder / CCTV / Access Control System

A student residential development comprising of a tower building linked to existing residence via a link corridor constructed under these works. The 34-storey tower consists of 520 bedrooms with shared kitchen/dining facilities in varying sized blocks along with reception, concierge, VIP Lounge and laundry facilities occupying the lower floors. This project was a private development in Leeds City Centre.
