A new range of small, high-performance programmablecontrollers, Twido stands out from other controllers with its simplicity and modularity. Twido is the ideal controllerfor small stand-alone installations or simple compact orrepetitive machines.

With Twido, it is simpler than ever to build your own solution. Twidodelivers the ultimate in machine control flexibility. Available in bothcompact and modular bases, Twido offers the advantage of two choices within a single product family. And both are programmed witheasy-to-learn, Microsoft-based software. With Twido Compact, you get a complete controller, ready for use,which includes the power supply, processor and I/O.With Twido Modular you have one of the world’s most compactcontrollers. The processor comes with a 24V-power supply and oneof the industry’s widest ranges of I/O.Twido Modular or Compact – now you can customize your controlsolution to exactly fit your application.

Build your own Twido, using modules ranging from 10 to more than200 I/Os point. Select 8, 16, 24 or 32 inputs, outputs or mixed channels.You can also choose from a number of connection types: from screwterminals, or connectors for rapid reliable wiring, to spring terminals.Twido is flexible, adapting to meet all of your requirements!

Twido is a controller with five basic models to suit the numberof I/Os point in your application. You can even expand the number ofI/O with one of the 18 expansion modules. Combining simplicity and modularity, the Twido range hasbeen designed to reduce installation time and hassle.

You have three ways to order your first Twido. If you’ve never used a PLC in your application, consider the Twidopack Basic.Twidopack Basic contains a compact controller, complete Microsoft-based software for easy programming, and an electronic tutorial program. For more advanced users, there is also Twidopack Advanced.Twidopack Advanced contains a modular controller, additional optionmodules, complete software, and a tutorial program. Designed foreveryone, from the beginner to the control systems expert, Twidopackenables you to learn about Twido’s many features, wherever andwhenever you want quickly. For larger volume purchases, Twidocontrollers and expansion modules can also be purchased individually.

Twido’s with its 40 I/O makes it easy to integrate into your installations.It’s also easy to add expansions or options. No special tools, screwdrivers, or additional cables, are required. The Twido modules snap together and lock together with one push ofthe locking mechanism. That’s all it takes to assemble a Twido. Then simply fix your Twido on a DIN rail, or directly onto a mountingplate.

You can wire Twido with easy to use screw terminals (fixed or removable),or choose the latest wiring innovations:- Prewired solutions for rapid, reliable connection. Combine moduleswith connectors and cables with flying leads for direct connection to sensors/actuators. Or use Twidofast kits (cable + Telefast sub-base)- Remote solutions for locating I/O or other controllers up to 50m (164 ft) away, and at very low cost- Or the new spring terminals, combining rapid wiring and guaranteedclamping

Twido The universal controller

Twido fits a wide range of small machine applications or industrial applications with a base unit with several add-on options.

In the compact stand-alone version, Twido provides a solution for smallindividual machines,building control, andsmall infrastructureapplications where itis enough for localcontrol.

Configuration example: a Compact Twido with 16 I/O, a display, and a real-time clock.

Twido can be expanded with extension modules to handle larger applications.

Configuration example:A modular Twido I/O module with 104 I/O that can be connected to Telefast terminal blocks, a 20 kHz high speed counter, and 4 specialized I/O.

In the modular version,Twido is capable ofhandling a much larger number of I/Oand data, significantlyextending the numberof applications it cansatisfy.
