Like all Tellabs ONTs, the Tellabs™ 100 Series Mini ONTs provide high-speed/low-cost performance in all Enterprise and government environments. Additionally, the Tellabs 120 Series Mini ONT creates a neat, clean and efficient workspace, and provides a new level of security for all office environments.

These small ONTs offer powerful enterprise business features:

Services

DataThe Tellabs™ 100 Series Mini ONTs deliver Enterprise-class data services in a compact and innovative package. With 2.5 Gbps of delivered bandwidth to the ONT, end-users gain access to gigabit speeds for today’s demanding business applications. Complete with a comprehensive Enterprise-class security architecture, organizations can rely on key features such as Denial of Service (DOS) protection and Network Access Control (NAC) with dynamic policy assignment.

Deployment efficiency can be gained by delivering both data and Power over Ethernet on a single-cable solution supporting edge devices, such as VoIP phones, surveillance cameras and wireless access points (APs). With support for eight (8) VLANs per Ethernet port, connecting multiple IP end points to a single ONT Ethernet port further enhances scalability.

Ease of connectivity is provided with RJ-45 data interfaces located directly on the in-wall faceplate or, in the case of the cubicle unit, directly in the raceway. Flexible location placement supports Wi-Fi APs, video surveillance, building automation systems.

VoIPVoice-over-IP services are supported using external VoIP phones and other Integrated Access Devices (IAD). Link Layer Data Protocol (LLDP) provides plug-and-play configuration for VLAN assignments, Quality of Service (QoS), Security policies and PoE power levels, enabling rapid deployment of unified communication services.

VideoThe Tellabs 100 Series Mini ONTs support flexible video content delivery in the form of Ethernet/IP data, either as unicast and multicast streams. Advanced IGMP, VLAN, and 802.1p/DSCP processing ensures secure and efficient service delivery for video conferencing, video surveillance and other video applications.

OverviewDesigned to deliver powerful business services to end users in a variety of free-standing, wall- or desk-mounting options, the Tellabs 709GP Optical Network Terminal (ONT) incorporates multiple Gigabit Ethernet ports in one compact, cost-efficient package.

Equipped with ITU-T G.984-compliant 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream G-PON interfaces, the Tellabs 709GP ONT supports a full range of advanced services, including voice, video, high-speed data, wireless, security, access controls and building automation. Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant with IEEE 802.3at is provided on all four ports providing up to 60 watts of total power for VoIP phones, security cameras and wireless access points. An optional battery back-up is available separately, providing up to four (4) hours of back-up time.

All features and functionality can be defined in software and dynamically allocated, based on real-time needs. Being compliant with ITU standard ONT Management Control Interface (OMCI) definitions and managed by the Tellabs® Panorama™ PON Manager helps speed installations and daily operations. Centrally controlled by the Tellabs Panorama PON Manager, the Tellabs 709GP ONT supports autodiscovery mechanisms, can be quickly provisioned using global templates and wizards, and offers smart troubleshooting tools, all of which allow for speedy moves, adds and changes in everyday operations.

Services

DataFour 10/100/1000 Base-T Ethernet data interfaces support: autonegotiation and MDI/MDIX autosensing, data transfer at wire speed and advanced data features, such as VLAN tag manipulation, VLAN trunking, classification and filtering Power over Ethernet on all ports.

VoIPTo enable VoIP access, the Tellabs 709GP ONT supports interfacing to an external VoIP desktop phone or other IAD device. Quality of service and security are maintained throughout the G-PON network.

VideoThe Tellabs 709GP ONT supports video content delivered in the form of Ethernet/IP data (by multicast or unicast). When multicast technology is used for delivering video content through the data channel, the Tellabs 709GP ONT supports the dedicated multicast GEM port on the downstream. Thus, video content is received and processed by all the ONTs through the unified channel, significantly improving bandwidth efficiency.

In addition, the Tellabs 709GP ONT supports an Internet Group Management Protocol (IGMP) snooping function to be applied for further optimization. When IGMP snooping is enabled, the Tellabs 709GP ONT monitors the member joining and leaving activities at the Ethernet service port and then selectively delivers up to 48 multicast streams. Multicast Quality of Service (QoS) is supported via the 802.1p bits.

OverviewDesigned to deliver powerful business Data, VoIP, and POTS services to 24 users, the stackable, scalable Tellabs® 1100-728GP and Tellabs® 1100-729GP MultiDesk/MultiDwelling Unit (MDU) GPON ONTs pack a lot of functionality into a compact one-rack unit (1 RU) chassis. Both units can be located in a telecommunications room, data center or telephone closet, driving fiber optics closer to the user.

Both units feature 24 Gigabit Ethernet ports with Power over Ethernet (PoE) for powerful business data service delivery. IEEE 802.3af PoE and 802.3at PoE+ compliance provides up to 30 watts on each Ethernet port. PoE provides remote power to VoIP desktop phones, Wi-Fi Access Points, IP Security Cameras, and other environmental and access control systems. The Tellabs 1100-729GP also features 24 POTS ports for analog business POTS service delivery.

Equipped with standard CAT-rated cabling for Ethernet data and voice service delivery, the Tellabs 1100-728GP and Tellabs 1100-729GP ONTs feature an ITU-T G.984-compliant 2.5 Gbps downstream and 1.25 Gbps upstream GPON interface supporting the full range of advanced services, including voice, video, data, Wi-Fi, smart buildings apps, security, surveillance, environmental and automation.

Overview The Tellabs® 1131 Optical Line Terminal provides a small form-factor OLT for low-density enterprise LAN deployments. It is ideal for replicating the benefits of Tellabs® Optical LAN solution into regional offices, smaller schools, boutique hotels/resorts, healthcare clinics, physician offices and small enterprise facilities. IP/Ethernet InterfaceThe sleek Tellabs 1131 OLT comes equipped with four Gigabit Ethernet and two 10 Gigabit Ethernet network uplink interfaces. These 1 GbE and 10 GbE ports are integral to the Ethernet switching fabric, common control and timing mechanism of the Tellabs 1131 OLT. This allows for efficient delivery of modern enterprise services and applications (both IPv4 and IPv6), including the management of subtended powered devices (e.g., VoIP phones, Wi-Fi WAPs, IP cameras). Passive Optical Network InterfaceThe Tellabs 1131 OLT is compliant with the ITU-T G.984 standard, based on the recommendations of the Full Service Access Network (FSAN) committee. It delivers both IP video (all types of enterprise video) and can be deployed in conjunction with RF overlay video. Overview The goal of the Tellabs® 1100 Series is to optimize capital expenditures, energy consumption and space requirements wherever possible. To accomplish that end goal, Tellabs provides four different distribution shelves that best match the total number of IP/Ethernet end points desired and power utilization, and minimize the physical space required within the data communications closet. This is accomplished with the following four IP/Ethernet-centric Optical Line Terminal (OLT) distribution shelves:

Each can be equipped with G-PON, Ethernet, ADSL2+ and VDSL2 service cards, supporting both Passive Optical LAN and Multiservice Access architectures. Ultimately, these shelves are built to serve voice, video, data, wireless access, building security, building surveillance and building automation end points.

Features and Benefits

Tellabs® 1150 OLT (23") distribution shelf The Tellabs 1150 distribution shelf is designed for high-density deployments (Figure 1). The Tellabs 1150 is well suited to support Optical LAN, Fiber to the Premises and Multiservice Access. Voice, video and data services can be delivered from this distribution shelf. It also supports voice, delivering both IP PBX, application servers and unified communications systems, and it can support TDM analog voice when bundled with Tellabs® 1000 Voice Gateway. For video delivery, the Tellabs 1150 can be deployed in IP video and RF video configurations within telecom service provider, commercial enterprise, government, healthcare, education and hospitality markets — this is true for all four of the Tellabs OLT distribution shelves.

The Tellabs 1150 can be equipped with Ethernet Switch Unit Two (ESU2). ESU2 provides a nonblocking 184 Gbps switch fabric, two 10 GbE XFP-based and four 1 GbE SFP-based IP/Ethernet interfaces. This ESU can be deployed redundantly for highest resiliency and reliability. System timing is controlled by redundant Timing Distribution Unit (TDU) cards in the Tellabs 1150 shelf. An Alarm Maintenance Unit (AMU) provides alarm collection, alarm reporting, visual alarms and alarm audible functions.

Tellabs® 1150E OLT (19") distribution shelf The Tellabs 1150E supports common software and common hardware with the Tellabs 1150. The Tellabs 1150E distribution shelf is built for high-density enterprise and international needs (Figure 2). In both enterprise and international deployments, 19" racks are expected within the data communication center. With voice service being delivered directly from IP PBX, application servers and unified communications systems, the Tellabs 1150E is targeted for pure VoIP, IP video and IP/Ethernet data service delivery. The Tellabs 1150E supports ESU2 equipped in simplex or duplex for high availability.

Tellabs® 1134 OLT distribution shelf The Tellabs 1134 supports common software and common service cards with the Tellabs 1150 and Tellabs 1150E. The Tellabs 1134 distribution shelf is designed for lower-density enterprise and international deployments (Figure 3). Furthermore, with its smaller form-factor, the Tellabs 1134 shelf is ideal for space-challenged installation in data center, communications closets and outdoor remote cabinets. The Tellabs 1134 can be equipped with the ESU30 and ESU32.

Tellabs® 1134AC OLT distribution shelf The Tellabs 1134AC adds a redundant AC to DC power rectifier integrated with the distribution shelf, resulting in faster installations (Figure 4). By integrating the power rectification, the time and material needed to install this distribution shelf are significantly reduced. Just like the other three Tellabs OLT distribution shelves, this Tellabs 1134AC leverages common software and common service cards. The Tellabs 1134 can be equipped with the ESU30 and ESU32
