Dear Parents/Carers
It has been a busy end of term with a number of whole school events. The P & C Fun Run was
an outstanding success both with the money raised and the students behaviour during the
Fun Run. It was great to see the cross country training Mrs Hollingsworth implemented make
such an impact on the children’s increased fitness levels across the school. The students
looked terrific in their facon shirts. Families then enjoyed a picnic lunch a8er the Fun Run.
Congratulaons to the students who represented Bungaree PS in OpMINDS at Curn Uni-
versity recently. The judges were very impressed with how our students performed with
some results being in the outstanding category. The students will be presenng part of their
work for the next assembly in Week 2 of Term 4, 20th October as well as in the next news-
le>er.
Students have been a>ending swimming lessons for the last two weeks of this term. Mrs
Hollingsworth is to be congratulated for all of her organisaon to ensure this event ran
smoothly together with the capable support of Bungaree and PLDS staff. Students from both
schools are to be congratulated on their behaviour and enthusiasm during swimming lessons.
Friday, the last day of the term, we will be celebrang West Coast Eagles and Fremantle
Dockers being in a football final. Students are able to wear any sporng team shirt/scarf as
part of the day. It does not need to be AFL. Please– no caps are to be worn. Normal uniform/
swimming aAre applies for those students who do not want to be part of this free event.
The P & C have been working with Subway to trial having Subway lunches twice a week on
Wednesdays and Fridays. This trial will commence the first week of Term 4. Order forms will
go home Monday 12th October or can be downloaded from the school website for the re-
mainder of the term. Orders are due in on Tuesday/Thursday, the day before actual lunch day
which is Wednesday/Friday. The excepon to this is for Friday 23rd Oct (Week 2) as this is
our athlecs carnival. Instead the P & C will be running a sausage sizzle lunch on Friday. See
Term 4 Planner overleaf.
Our annual Loud Shirt Day will be held on the first Friday of Term 4. Students are asked to
bring a gold coin donaon on the day. The gold coin donaon goes to Telethon Speech and
Hearing to help with early intervenon therapy and services for hearing impaired children.
I would like to thank Lisa Harg and Chris Pickering ,our student teachers, for all of their hard
work over this term. We wish both of them all of the best in their future career as they have
now completed their teaching degree. Have a safe and relaxing
break for those going on holidays with their children. Term 4
commences Monday 12th Oct for both students and staff.
Regards
