CLUSTER ATHLETICS

Our annual cluster school Athletics is to be held next

week: Thursday 26th November at the Hastings

Sports ground on Percival Road. All children are

expected to participate. Please arrive by 9am.

Remember there will be NO SCHOOL BUS—you are

required to arrange transport for your children to and

from the event.

If you are having problems or need some assistance,

phone the office: 874 3830.

Children will be issued with a sports t-shirt on Monday

and need to arrive in this ready for the event on

Thursday. They will need their school jersey if the

weather is poor. Please provide children with food and

drink. In the event of bad weather, there will be NO

Athletics! Hopefully the weather forecast for next

week is more promising than this week!

If it is in fact cancelled, a normal school day will

resume and bus services will run as usual.

KAPA HAKA

WOW!!! It was a very successful day last Thursday

when our seniors took to the stage and performed at

the Kapa Haka Festival at Richmond School.

You all did so well and we are so proud of you!

Special mention to Isaac Hanara-King and Kristyn

Elliott who lead very well and Skylah and Honour Parkes

for their beautiful solo!

Also a big thank you to matua Pitiera and whaea

Harlem, we couldn’t have done it without you!

LOST—SET OF KNIVES

Plastic knife belt with 3 knives lost from 1222 Taihape

Road towards Fernhill from about 1:45pm yesterday.

If found, please ring Beetle at HB Home Kill on 027

226 6671.

Athletics The children are all looking forward to the Cluster Athletics next week and have been busy training at school during PE sessions. We will look forward to your support on the day at the Hastings

Sports Park. You are welcome to take your child home after the athletics have been completed but can you please let your classroom teacher know first.

Swimming On the days that it is warmer we are opening the school pool at lunch times. During this time we always have a duty teacher watching the swimmers and ensuring that they are safe. We will start class

swimming sessions after Athletics.

Kapa Haka A huge congratulations to our senior school for their outstanding performance in the Kapa Haka festival last week. We were so proud of them. The junior school enjoyed having the opportunity to go

along and support them and we were also proud of their behaviour as an audience.

A Little Quiet We wished the seniors well as they headed off on their camp on Monday. We hope that they are having an excellent time and look forward to hearing about what they have done, seen and learnt.

Thanks—Heidi Tyler

to fill in the survey that came out last week.
