NOT part of our uniform. Black shorts are not to be worn any other days. Also, sports
shoes/joggers are only to be worn on sports days, black school shoes are to be worn on all
other days. Your assistance in this would be appreciated as the end of the year comes
around.

Farewell to Mrs Dorahy
Monday 09 December 2019 2.00pm
School Library
Glossodia Public School would like to invite parents and community members who have assisted the students of Glossodia PS in 2019 to an informal afternoon tea. Our parent helpers have made a valued contribution to the
school in many ways including classroom helpers, canteen and uniform shops, Mother’s and Father’s Day stalls,
excursion helpers and transporting students to sporting activities.
We will be combining our thank you afternoon tea with a
farewell for both current and former parents and community members to come along and wish Mrs Dorahy
well in her retirement at the end of this school year.
The staff and students of Glossodia PS hope you will be able to attend, for us to say thank you to you for your
continued help, and for you to give Mrs Dorahy your best wishes and a warm send off for her retirement.

Stage 2 Overnight Camp
On Thursday and Friday 14-15 November, Stage 2 travelled to Sydney by train, walked
across the Sydney Harbour Bridge and around the Rocks, travelled by ferry to the Zoo and
stayed overnight at the Zoo. Everyone had a wonderful time, returning home on Friday
afternoon happy and exhausted. Thank you to the parents who accompanied us- Mr Scott,
Mr Kite, Mrs Hobbs and Mrs Perram and Mr and Mrs White for transporting the luggage.
“Bye!” I yelled as the train took off at high speed. I was a little sad in case I got lost
departing or entering the train. I also thought about how much fun I would have. I thought
about seeing tigers. I really wanted to see the tigers.
When we got to Sydney we waited for the tour guide. I was insanely excited. When the
guide came she took us to a room to change into our clothes. She told us about the First
Fleet. It was really good.
When that finished we went to the Opera House. It was massive.
When we got to the zoo we had dinner. We had a night walk and saw elephants, tigers,
giraffes, pygmie hippo. It was awesome.
I had a really good time at the zoo. I wish I could do it again. Wilson
“We’re here!” I yelled. I wanted to get off the train to walk over the Harbour Bridge.
When we walked over the bridge I saw the Fishburn go under the bridge.
Then we had lunch. After that we dressed up as people who came to Australia. I got to be
Governor Arthur Phillip for the Rocks Walking Tour.
Next we went to Taronga Zoo. We saw the Red Pandas first. We walked around for a while
then had dinner. Ethan
