o Problem Identification:Cigarette stalls in front of ULAB
Campus A and B.o Background of the problem:From our basic knowledge
we all know that smoking is a
bad habit. If we look around and search in different sources
like-internet, newspapers etc.
than we can find that, every year lots of people die and
effected with many disease for
smoking. On the other hand, the numbers of smokers are not
decreasing even it is
increasing day by day. The young generation is the future of any
country. Now a day, the
young generation is getting addicted to smoke in a large number.
The young people see
others to smoke in front them and they feel interest to taste
it. The smoking stalls are
available near them so, they can get it easily. In front of
ULAB, we have at least twelve
smoking stalls which are actually encouraging students to smoke
or the students see
others are smoking so why we are not try once. Most of the
students think smoking as a
stylish thing and feel great when they do smoke. The students do
not bother that they are
harming themselves as well as others.
o Primary Objectives
Cigarette stalls in front of the ULAB increasing the number of
smokers among students.
o Secondary Objectives
a) To know the number of cigarette stalls in front of the
ULAB.b) To know the distance of the cigarette stalls from the main
campus.
c) How many times the students passing near by the cigarette
stalls.
d) To know how many students do smoking.
e) To know what are the favorite pastimes of the students when
they are in the University
campus.
f) To know how many cigarettes one student takes in a day.
g) To know what are the promotional strategy of the cigarette
stalls to encourage students
for smoking.
o Methodology
Target population: For this research we have to target the
students of ULAB so, ourtarget population will be the students of
ULAB.
Primary data:For doing this research on Cigarette stalls in
front of the ULAB, I haveto use the primary data as we will collect
the data directly from the students of ULAB.

o Limitations of research
1. Though our research has personal type of questions so
students may not want to answer
them.
2. Sometimes students are unable to provide accurate answer.
3. Sometimes students have unwillingness to answer to avoid
embarrassment.
4. As we will randomly select the respondents so sometimes wrong
respondents will be
selected like if we select a student who is not a smoker than he
or she will not be able to
provide accurate answer.
