1986 - 1987 Training Specialist, Standard Federal Savings Bank, Frederick, MD. Developed, implemented, and administered mortgage banking training program, including

employee orientation and skills development seminars.

1978 - 1986 Commercial Banker, Old Kent Bank of Grand Haven, Grand Haven, MI. Loan

Administrator, administered both the Student Loan and Credit Card Programs; Branch

Office Supervisor, supervised 25 employees and oversaw general operation of branch bank, developed and implemented branch sales training program; Head Teller and

Management Trainee, supervised teller staff and participated in management training

program.

1984 - 1986 Commissioner, Grand Haven Historic District Commission, Grand Haven, MI (served

as Chairman 1/85 to 4/86). Using the Grand Haven Historical Survey, developed

historic district legislation for the City of Grand Haven and proposed historic districts based on the new law. Held public hearings and educational seminars on historic

preservation.
