the range and standard of career support services

at UCD is excellent

Over the past year and a half I’ve availed of grant writing, project management and time management workshops, one-on-one career development and coaching sessions, interview advice and seminars in Effective Research. Across the board I’ve found these programmes challenging, innovative, and hugely helpful. This is my second postdoctoral position and I can say with full confidence that at UCD the range and standard of career and professional development support services is excellent

Dr Ainé Kelly School of Philosophy

Mark strongly encouraged me to have a proactive career planning strategy and offered me valuable advice regarding potential opportunities for my profile. I now have a clearer vision on my short and medium term career and I would highly recommend the service of the career development centre to any post-doctoral researcher going through this transition phase.

Dr Ahmed Chebbi School of Mechanical and Materials Engineering

Cutting edge research requires more than smart thinking. It needs a host of underpinning skills, such as management, grantsmanship, writing, etc., that enable you to turn aspiration into reality. UCD offers its postdocs training in these areas, practical hands-on and delivered by experts.
