To Whom It May Concern Earlier this year, an inspirational young woman, Dominique Schell gave a talk to our Year 11 and 12 students here at the Australian International School in Singapore. As a sarcoma survivor, Dominique has faced many physical, emotional and social challenges but has emerged stronger for her struggles. Dominique shared with students some of these challenges but focused on the strategies for meeting, overcoming and living with these challenges as well as the many setbacks she has faced as she continually moves toward achieving her many life goals. Her messages of positivity, perseverance and passion were very well received by our students and provided plenty of reason for self reflection, optimism and determination regarding our own lives. I can highly recommend Dominque as a motivational speaker who has the ability to engage, relate to and inspire adolescents whilst raising awareness about a significant but relatively unknown form of cancer that mostly effects young people. If you have the opportunity to invite Dominque to speak to your students, I am sure that, like ours, they will feel inspired and further develop their understanding of the need for persistance in the face of life’s challenges.
