Municipal Utility District News From The Texas National MUD Water well #2, good news, the well is 69% complete as of our last meeting on August 27. It may be on line before the November completion date. The road to the sewer plant is the next project and the district en- gineer's are busy designing and getting plans ready for bidding. This is needed before the new Waste Water Treatment Plant can be built. The board also approved the proposal for the Lift Station. The permit for the WWTP was submitted to TCEQ on July 1, 2015. The Bond Application is almost complete. As you know Lennar is anticipating completing 87 new homes by October of 2017, that means there will be changes and we will need to be patient about things going on in the neighborhood. As most residents know the district owns the property and the road that the Waste Water Treatment Plant is located on. This is private property and not open to the public. The road is not for public use. The no trespassing signs have been torn down. We are replacing them again. The district is in the process of closing the gap that is being used as access from the golf course and we are asking that all refrain from entering the property on foot and on golf carts. Thank you, LaVerne Woodru, President The Property Owners Association A Letter from the President Hello Neighbors! Since inheriting this position I have enjoyed meeting and speaking with many of you and hope to meet more of you in the coming months. I realize that the building boom that we are currently living with is up- setting to a lot of us but we survived the previous one in 2006-2008 and acquired a lot of good friends and neighbors from it. I am firmly committed to making Texas National a wonderful place for all of us to live. Future happenings include: Mike Meador, Precinct 1 Commissioner, has promised to repave Zapata, the part of Pecos that cuts through the golf course and most of Comanche Circle by the end of October. He did send someone to fill in potholes on Maverick (the county is responsible for maintenance there) after I called the office. The neighborhood clean-up and cookout is currently rescheduled for October 24 when I intend to address the drainage issues on Texas National Blvd. Hope to see you all there. The Community Garage Sale. Start cleaning out your closets and garages now to decide what you want to sell on November 7. Extra $$$ for the holidays!!! If you have any concerns or suggestions please feel free to contact me or attend monthly Board meetings and the Semi-annual meeting in November and let your voice be heard. It was certainly a dierent world then when parents knew when school began and children didnt have to wait on school buses. Sandy Russell, President Retired health care worker currently working part time as an overdue accounts clerk for a civil engineering firm. Graduate of The Uni-versity of Evansville (Indiana) and Galveston College. My husband Russ and I have lived in Texas for 35 years and in Texas National for 10. I love to cook, garden, golf (we have played in all 50 states!) and play racquetball. !

Pete Balzola Cynthia and I are one of the original owners in Texas National, building our home in 1982. We were part of an investment group all working for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia and thought it would be a good investment (not the best decision, but we have enjoyed living here). I am a retired civil engineer having been in-volved in the design and construction of indus-trial facilities throughout the world. After re-tirement from engineering, I obtained my Real Estate Broker's license specializing in the buying and selling of residential and invest-ment properties. My wife Cynthia started her career as a Regis-tered Nurse and retired as a successful Real Estate Broker. We have two children, a daughter living in Italy and our son In Mississippi. !

Danielle Byrn My husband Chris and I are originally from the Beaumont, TX area. We started out as renters in Texas National, moved away when our lease ended and realized that we loved the community so much that we returned and purchased a home here. Upon completing my graduate work in Clin-ical Psychology from Sam Houston State Uni-versity, I began my current career as a correc-tional psychologist. I work at one of the peni-tentiaries in the Huntsville area and am blessed to be able to say that I love my job! I have been married for nearly five years to my husband, who works in the oil and gas indus-try. We love to travel, golf and anything that is animal-related. We currently share our home with our rescue pet, Maggie. !

Gary Hines I am a retired Commercial & Graphic Artist. My speciality was in print media layout & de-sign including photography & the advertising arts. Originally from Corpus Christi came to U of H to study Advertising & Fine Art in 1966. In 1969 I enlisted in the Army Reserves and be-gan working for Gulf Prining Co. as assistant to the Art Director and Staff Artist. In ’72 I be-came a free lance artist and started my own Graphic Art & Design studio. I hope to soon begin Oil Painting again. I married Ellen Krit-zler in ’75, a Special Education/Early Child-hood teacher with Galena Park ISD, retired (after 40 yrs.). We moved here Winter of 2013 and have two grown children, one in New Mexico and one in Tennessee. We enjoy golf & traveling and we love it here! !
