In support of the Joint Roadmap: Towards Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals, Huntsman Textile E�ects has developed a list of dyes and chemicals which do not intentionally contain any of these priority chemical groups and therefore can be used to supply textiles to companies that have signed up to the ‘roadmap’.

In a Marketing Alliance with DuPont, Huntsman Textile E�ects is selling products, which are used for the oil, water and

stain repellent �nish of textiles under the tradenames ZONYL / OLEOPHOBOL/ PHOBOL/ PHOBOTEX . Among others

these sales products contain per�uorinated chemicals as active ingredients. In line with the objective to eliminate

DuPont/ Huntsman �uorotelomer-based products are not made with, nor do they use, PFOA in the manufacturing

process. However, PFOA is an unintended reaction by-product that is present at trace levels in some of these products.

As part of our global product stewardship commitment since 2007, DuPont/ Huntsman commercialized a process for

all concerned sales products, which removes nearly all trace levels of PFOA and direct precursors to PFOA in our products.

Our objective is to have only textile products showing PFOA contents below LOQ (limit of quanti�cation), which is

de�ned as 2 ppm (Parts per Million) according to a peer-reviewed, published method (J. Chrom Sci. 2006, 110 (1-2),

117-124).

New DuPont Capstone® / Huntsman OLEOPHOBOL CP ® products are based on shortchain chemistry that cannot break

down to PFOA and provide a step-change reduction in trace impurities below the limit of detection, o�ering customers the

same or better performance than their predecessors without a compromise in �uorine ef�ciency.

PFOS and per�uoroalkyl sulfonates are not at all associated with ZONYL® / OLEOPHOBOL® / PHOBOL ® / PHOBOTEX ®

products for textiles manufactured by DuPont and sold by Huntsman.

Buyer shall also take all steps necessary to adequately inform, warn and familiarize its employees, agents, direct and indirect customers and contractors who may handle or be exposed to the Product of all hazards pertaining to and proper procedures for safe handling, use, storage, trans-portation and disposal of and exposure to the Product, and the containers or equipment in which the Product may be handled, shipped or stored.
