Eligibility (A or B):A.i) A Master's degree with 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale wherever the grading system is followed) in aconcerned/relevant/allied subject (as given in the previous column) froman Indian University, or an equivalent degree from an accredited foreignuniversity.ii) Besides fulfilling the above qualifications, the candidate must havecleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC or theCSIR, or a similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET or who areor have been awarded a Ph. D. Degree in accordance with the UniversityGrants Commission (Minimum Standards and Procedure for Award ofM.PhiI.lPh.D. Degree) Regulations, 2009 or 2016 and their amendmentsfrom time to time as the case may be exempted from NET/SLET/SET:Provided, the candidates registered for the PhD. programme prior to July11, 2009, shall be governed by the provisions of the then existingOrdinances/Bye-laws/Regulations of the Institution awarding the degreeand such Ph.D. candidates shall be exempted from the requirement ofNET/SLET/SET for recruitment and appointment of Assistant Professor orequivalent positions in Universities/Colleges/lnstitutions subject to thefulfilment of the following conditions:-a) The Ph.D. degree of the candidate has been awarded in a regular mode;b) The Ph.D. thesis has been evaluated by at least two external examiners;c) An open Ph.D. viva voce of the candidate has been conducted;d) The Candidate has published two research papers from his/her Ph.D.work, out of which at least one is in a refereed journal;e) The candidate has presented at least two papers based on his/her Ph.Dwork in conferences/seminars sponsored/funded/supported by the UGC /ICSSRI CSIR or any similar agency.The fulfilment of these conditions is to be certified by the Registrar or theDean (Academic Affairs) of the University concerned.Note: NET/SLET/SET shall also not be required for such MastersProgrammes in disciplines for which NET/SLET/SET is not conducted bythe UGC, CSIR or similar test accredited by the UGC, like SLET/SET.
ORB. The Ph.D degree has been obtained from a foreign university/institutionwith a ranking among top 500 in the World University Ranking (at anytime) by anyone of the following: (i) Quacquarelli Symonds CQS) (ii) theTimes Higher Education (THE) or (iii) the Academic Ranking of WorldUniversities (ARWU) of the Shanghai Jiao Tong University (Shanghai).

Candidates who do not register his / her name along with their SKYPE ID by the aforesaid time & date shall notbe interviewed. Eligible candidates so registered shall appear before the concerned Selection Committee throughSKYPE as per the above schedule.

Hence, the interested candidates must have theexpertise and experience for the same besides having the required facilities at their end.
Selected candidates will be required to submit a signed copy of the detailed biodata/CV as stated above and aset of self-attested photocopies of all the supporting documents. Further, all testimonials in original must beproduced for verification at the time of joining.
If a large number of candidates register for the interview by the last date as stated above, then candidates short-listed on the basis of academic qualifications and experience, if any, may be called for the interview through e-mailand a notice for such applicants may also be uploaded in the University website two days ahead of the scheduleddate of interview. In absence of such e-mail/notice, all candidates who register their names as stated above mayappear for the walk-in-interview on the scheduled date and time. ~
