TGIM WEEKLY AUDIO: Be 100% Accountable Thank God it’s Monday!™ Be 100% accountable for everything. Okay, that’s taking it too far— you’ve got to be kidding me, I can’t even get my own work done! Sure, marketing’s not getting it, and bookkeeping isn’t getting it, and management never understands what needs to get done. All those things you can say are complaints, but they don’t do any good. So ask bookkeeping for what you want directly. In a kind and logical way, explain to manage- ment exactly what you need, and convince them or let them convince you that it is or is not appropriate so you can move ahead. But be 100% accountable for the results of everything in your organization—that’s the only way that organizations work. So how do you do that? Point out and follow up, that’s the formula. When you see something that isn’t going well, point it out, follow up with it, and ask someone “Did that get taken care of?” That is your job. That’s everyone’s job to be 100% accountable! TGIM WEEKLY AUDIO: Be 100% Accountable

Thank God it’s Monday!™ Be 100% accountable for everything. Okay, that’s taking it too far—you’ve got to be kidding me, I can’t even get my own work done! Sure, marketing’s not getting it, and bookkeeping isn’t getting it, and management never understands what needs to get done. All those things you can say are complaints, but they don’t do any good.

So ask bookkeeping for what you want directly. In a kind and logical way, explain to manage-ment exactly what you need, and convince them or let them convince you that it is or is not appropriate so you can move ahead.

Have a great Monday!
