A Note from
Principal Haluska I would like to take time to personally thank the Banquet of Blessings staff. This year’s committee members are
Kelly Coppola
Amanda Huinker
Auny Pole
Brad Carlson
Cindy Schissel
Morgan Thrailkill
Jeanne Gullekson
Sheila Kruger
Kristy Meyer
These people put in many hours of hard work to make this banquet become what it is. When you see one of these members
tonight, please thank them for taking the time to serve on this committee. They are all very deserving.
In addition, I believe it is important to acknowledge all those who have contributed to the Banquet of Blessings in any way,
including gifts such as money, time, or other contributions. Without this night and all that it takes to make this happen, our
resources at St. Benedict School would suffer greatly.
We appreciate our St. Benedict families and their support through the Church as well as the fundraisers held throughout the
year. As a private/parochial school, it takes a lot of dollars to keep our school operating at the standard we all want for the
students and staff. The contributions from tonight will be used to assist with a technology loan pay-off to the Archdiocese.
Additionally, we would like to purchase a new reading curriculum for our primary grades and a new religion program.
Tonight’s proceeds will assist with those purchases.
Please keep in mind what a special night this is for our students, teachers, volunteers, contributors, and all parishioners
and friends. We are honored by your presence here this evening. It is our hope that, in return for your generosity and
support, tonight will bring you hours of fun, time with friends, and enjoyment of the food, auctions, and entertainment.
Tonight, we all have the pleasure of knowing that we are making valuable contributions to the lives and the futures of our
students, our school, and our faith.
May God bless each and every person who has contributed to the success of our annual Banquet of Blessings
fundraiser. Thank you for making a difference!
With thanks,
Steve Haluska

A Note from
The Banquet of Blessings Committee Welcome to the 15th Annual Banquet of Blessings – March Madness at Marty’s! We are excited to host this
important fundraiser which supports an awesome school community filled with amazing students, parents,
teachers, and staff.
“We must find time to stop and thank the people
who have made a difference in our lives.”
- John F. Kennedy
A heartfelt thank you to the numerous donors who have provided the items, money, time, and energy to
make this night what it is. Your generosity and gifts made this night possible, and they will improve the
educational opportunities for all our children.
We love our teachers and staff! Thank you so much for sharing your time and talent with our children. We
are truly appreciative of every hour (and we know there are many) you dedicate. Thank you for showing
our children the value of a faith-based education, the value of serving others, and the value of learning.
There is no other profession that shapes the future like yours.
A special thank you to Sherri Holland for all the time, talent, and creativity you put into the classroom
projects for the auction. You are amazing – and our children undoubtedly agree!
To Father Hertges, the parish staff, and parishioner: Thank you for being the spiritual foundation for our
children. Your support and presence in the children’s lives is invaluable.
We’d like to thank in advance all who will generously donate tonight – it take so much love and so much
financial support to make our school function. Without your continued commitment to the school and its
students, St. Benedict School would not be what it is.
We are so glad that each and every one of you has joined us at the Banquet of Blessings – March Madness
at Marty’s. Your attendance and support for St. Benedict School is a blessing. Have a wonderful night!
God bless you all!
Kelly Coppola, Amanda Huinker, Auny Pole, Morgan Thrailkill, Brad Carlson, Cindy Schissel, Jeanne Gullekson,
Sheila Kruger, Steve Haluska, and Kristy Meyer

FUND-A-CAUSE Help us raise the money to support two main curriculum needs in our school!!!
K-3 Wilson Fundations Reading Program
This reading program is a research- based reading and spelling program that will support the entire Kindergarten, 1st grade,
2nd grade and 3rd grade classrooms, as well as, supporting struggling readers who require early intervention. The 4/5 year
old preschool class is already using this program; they were able to purchase it using a grant this year, and they are seeing
wonderful results! This program teaches the critical skills necessary for reading and spelling while presenting the skills
sequentially and cumulatively. This systematic reading program addresses foundational skills; print concepts, phonological
awareness, phonics, word study, and fluency. Wilson Fundations makes learning to read fun while laying the groundwork for
lifelong literacy. Fundations will help our teachers confidently achieve the many requirements of state, local and
professional standards. This reading program will support St. Benedict School students for many years to come. Becoming
a strong lifelong reader is one of the greatest gifts we can give our students!
