The living conditions were very difficult, they suffered injuries, they were seasick, they didn't had privacy, they used a chamber pot for a toilet.

After they arrived in the New World most of Pilgrims failed to survive, that was very difficult for them to find food and build shelter. Fortunately, native American were very helpful.
