We have considered the reality of a society in peril.
Indeed, we traveled to the edge of the abyss and peered in.
Guys, we have been on an incredible journey.

A Society in Peril • Approximately 40-50% of
marriages will end in divorce. • Almost 1 child out of every
three born in American is illegitimate.
• Less than 1/3 of all children will live with both biological parents until the age of 18.
• Approximately ¼ of the children conceived in the U.S. are aborted.

We discovered the very simple solution to our problems.

The Foundation Stone of the World
• “The world did not come into being until God took a certain stone, which is called the ‘foundation stone [shetiyah],’ and cast it into the abyss so that it held fast there, and from it the world was planted.”

The Dwelling Place of God • “And let them make me a sanctuary, that I
may dwell in their midst” (Exodus 25:9). • “We see, then, that every Jewish home is
intended to be a dwelling place for the Divine Presence, a miniature Sanctuary. The life that husband and wife lead in the home is like the service performed by the priests at the Temple altar … God promised His nation: ‘And I shall dwell in their midst’ (Exodus 25:8)” (Eliyahu Kitov).

The Jewish Home • Since God dwelt in the home, it was
called to be holy. • Holiness of Place: The Torah had 87
laws regulating the dinner table and spousal relations.
• Holiness of Time: The Torah commanded Israel to give a portion of every increment of time back to God.
• Holiness of Person: The Torah instituted a Code of Conduct defining personal holiness (especially the Ten Commandments).

The School at Nazareth • “The Christian family constitutes a
specific revelation and realization of ecclesial communion, and for this reason it can and should be called a domestic church” (Familiaris Consortio, #21).
• “A little rule written for beginners.” • “Nazareth is a kind of school where we
may begin to discover what Christ’s life was like and even to understand his Gospel.” (Pope Paul VI).
• “Prefer nothing to the love of Christ.”

Authentic Male Leadership in the Home 1. Honor your wedding vows. 2. Eat dinner together. 3. Give some of your time to God. 4. Set your mind on the things
above. 5. Find God in yourself. 6. Find God in other persons. 7. Make it easy to be good and hard
to be bad.
