Dear Friends, With the 2017/2018 school year now behind us, we have much to celebrate as summer vacation begins. Our students achieved many impressive academic outcomes this year — including 100 percent of our graduating seniors being accepted to four-year colleges for the 15 th consecutive year — all while enduring the noise and distraction of an expanded campus being built right around them. The expansion of our Upper School campus continues, with the building now officially closed for the summer to allow our construction team full access as they pursue an aggressive project timeline. We are eager for the new construction, including 13 new classrooms, 11 small group breakout spaces, and our first multipurpose lunch room and convening space, to be open to students late in the fall. We are also making progress with the development of our newly established Fund for Teaching Excellence, which will launch during the 2018/2019 school year, transforming the way in which we are able to recognize and reward the relentless efforts of our teachers. These ambitious projects are only made possible because of the many generous supporters whom we are fortunate to have involved in our Capacity to Lead Capital Campaign. We are grateful to all of our contributors who are making our dreams of a true-college preparatory facility and innovative approach to recognizing our hardworking teachers a reality. On behalf of all of us at Boston Collegiate Charter School, we extend our most heartfelt thanks for your support and wish you all a wonderful summer. Window installation and roofing are now complete for the Upper School classroom expansion.

June marked another exciting month for BCCS, with a number of new gifts and pledges committed to our Capacity to Lead Campaign. We are grateful for the significant support of $100,000 from the Cabot Family Charitable Trust and to be included in the Cummings Foundation’s 100K for 100 Program. These two new commitments of $100,000 each come at a critical time as our campaign and construction project move rapidly ahead. We are honored to include the Cabot Family Charitable Trust and Cummings Foundation in our campaign and were thrilled to celebrate our new partnership with the Cummings Foundation at their recent Grant Winner Celebration in Woburn.

With the 2017/2018 school year now complete, we are excited to begin a new phase of our construction project. Window installation and the addition of roofs to both the classroom expansion and multipurpose lunch room and convening spaces are complete. Demolition to areas of the building interior has begun and the project remains on track for occupancy shortly after the start of the new school year in Fall 2018.
