Customer Assistance Center (CAC):

Data Signal Room (DSR):

4 AT&T, Verizon, and KDDI are available to provide service.

4 MCI and other providers available in the 2nd DSR.

4 All circuit installations monitored by TELEHOUSE.

4 Circuits are run from DSR to customer telecom closets throughout the site.

Battery Room:

4 4 battery strings for back-up.

4 Capable of handle full center power load for up to 15 minutes.

4 Batteries designed to immediately provide power in case of commercial power loss, until generators start (8-12 seconds).

UPS Room:

4 4 rotary UPSs, 660 KVA each, 3 are operational with 1 in stand-by mode.

4 Even out power source to prevent spikes and brown-outs.

4 In the event of commercial power loss, UPSs continue to generate power since rotary components spin at such a high rate of speed.

Generator Room:

4 4 diesel-powered generators 1,250 KVA each, 3 are operational with 1 in stand-by mode.

4 2-day on-site underground supply of fuel, with multiple vendors on call.

4 Each generator is kept warm with crankcase heaters to avoid cold starts.

4 Generator operation is tested monthly, and once per quarter on full power load.

Switchgear Room (Commercial Power):

4 Contains transformers for commercial power.

4 Main power feed from Con Edison (NY) with back-up feed provided by PSE&G (NJ).

4 Multiple feeds from local substations.

4 Power distributed to 3 system set-ups:u Critical (customers, emergency, etc.)u Essential (office lighting, A/C, etc.)u Non-essential (corridor outlets, etc.)

4 If outage occurs, power is directed to Critical and Essential systems first.
