Café Provençal located onthe grounds of the picturesqueWilliamsburg Winery offerspeople a chance to experiencefine dining in a relaxed andtranquil setting.
The superb quality of the food com-bined with amazing service makes for atruly memorable experience. The restau-rant is proudly owned by the DuffelerFamily and has enjoyed continued popu-larity since opening in 2007.
Chef Tim Westby-Gibson studies theculinary industry and incorporates hisresearch in the design, creativeness andstructure in every dish. He prepares eachselection using fresh local and qualityingredients making every main dish theperfect combination.
The signature dishes incorporate spe-cial meats that are slowly smoked usingcured grape vines following the tradition-al southern France style of cooking.
Daily specials reflect creative talent,careful preparations and a masterful pres-entation.
The restaurant can also boast one ofthe largest Virginia Wine lists in the stateand also has a great selection of nationaland international wine to choose from.
Locals who appreciate food and wine,as well as the many visitors who vacationin Williamsburg, have found the fine,fresh cuisine of Café Provençal distinct inits quality and service.
A recent visitor to the restaurant ravedabout the experience they had at CaféProvençal.
“It exceeded our expectations. I wishwe lived closer. We would be here once amonth at least to take advantage of thefood. And not only was the food wonder-ful, but the service was attentive yet notintrusive. Highly recommend to city peo-ple who weren’t expecting such a greatfind in Williamsburg.”

One couple thought the value wasexceptional and the food unparalleled.
“The prix-fixe menu was an excellentvalue, as was the “glass of reserve winepaired with each course” offer. I had thecrab bisque, filet mignon, and fudge tortewith home-made banana ice cream. Myhusband had the smoked duck, filetmignon, and the chocolate tiramisu trifle.Everything was delicious, but the filetmignon and banana ice cream werebeyond amazing.”
The vegetables and herbs used in ChefWestby-Gibson’s recipes are grown onproperty’s two-acre garden. Everything ismade from scratch, including all the
stocks for sauces and soups. New this sea-son is a greenhouse garden tunnel whichwill allow growing all year long. By thetime summer arrives, the garden will co-op with other local restaurants to supplyfresh vegetables and herbs all year.
Wine educator Kevin Zraly has saidthat Virginia is an exciting wine region,producing some amazing wines. TheWilliamsburg Winery vintages have woninternational awards with “DecanterMagazine” of London, four years in arow.

There is something to besaid about tradition.
The Jefferson Restaurant onRichmond Road is part of the area’s longhistory. The family-owned restaurantrecently celebrated its 55th anniversary,no small feat in an area now dominatedby fast-food choices.
There’s been a proliferation of chainrestaurants up and down RichmondRoad over the past couple of decades.However, the owners of the Jefferson havecontinued offering top-quality service,reasonable prices and excellent food thatkeeps locals and visitors coming back totheir restaurant.
The sense of family is evident inrestaurant’s wait and support staff. Someservers have worked at the Jefferson for20 years. That makes those who returnable to find the same faces year after year.And that makes a difference.
People still flock to the Jefferson forthe distinctive Southern favorites theyfind on the diverse menu. Some of themost popular items to choose from arepeanut soup, baked Virginia ham andcrabcakes, spare ribs, stuffed pork chopsand fried chicken.

Mama Steve’s features a DutchColonial dining room where a variety ofpancakes, omelets, and other breakfastfare, such as creamed chipped beef,corned beef hash, applewood smokedbacon and plantation platters are offered.
At lunch, there is a diverse menu fea-turing a variety of burgers, sandwichesand salads. The hours are 7 a.m.-2 p.mdaily.

A short drive from the popular dining scenes in Williamsburg is nestled THE KITCHEN AT POWHATAN within the picturesque landscape of The Historic Powhatan Resort.
The diner will know they have discovered a true gem when they taste the perfectly
seared foie gras, or take a chance and bite into the crisp skin of roasted breast of duck,
or sample a decadently sweet, honeyed dessert wine with a crumble of blue cheese.
At The Kitchen at Powhatan, those moments are common. Patrons continually
comment about the incredible food and impeccable service. Although the menu is
constantly changing, people are able to choose from elegantly sophisticated entrée
options including perfectly cooked pork tenderloin; moist grilled chicken breast;
lavishly prepared New Zealand lamb chops or wild mushroom stuffed ravioli with lump
crab and truffle cream sauce. During the spring and summer, there will be many fresh,
local seafood choices with fresh picked vegetables and herbs from our on-site garden,
