THE NATIONAL ACADEMY OF TELEVISION
ARTS & SCIENCES, NEW YORK CHAPTER ANNOUNCES RESULTS
OF THE 60th ANNUAL NEW YORK EMMY® AWARDS
New York, NY, May 6, 2017 – WNBC-TV was the big winner tonight at the 60th Annual New York Emmy® Awards which
took place at the Marriott® Marquis’ Broadway Ballroom.
Following WNBC-TV with 15 Awards was MSG Network, which won 14 New York Emmy® Awards.
WNJU Telemundo 47’s Noticiero Telemundo 47 – Terremoto en Ecuador 11PM took home the Emmy® for best “Evening
Newscast Larger Markets” for its April 18, 2016 broadcast.
WSTM-TV took home the Emmy® for best “Evening Newscast Medium Markets” for its NBC 3 News at 5:00PM: Martin
Street Deadly Fire.
The 2017 Governors’ Award was presented to WCBS-TV on the occasion of its 75th Anniversary, we salute and recognize
the station as a pioneer in New York Television.
