The 57 th Annual Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival GENERAL INFORMATION FOR ARTISTS FESTIVAL INFORMATION: Check-In at HQ: Artist and Co-Artist (if any): Photo ID required of both Thursday: 7 a.m. – 6 p.m. / Friday: 5 a.m. Artist Set-Up: Verify booth location with Space Assignments before setting up Spaces IN the Park: Thursday, 8 a.m. – 6 p.m. Spaces ON the Street: Friday, 5 a.m. – 8 a.m.; vehicles removed by 8:30 a.m. Festival Hours: Friday & Saturday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m. / Sunday: 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. Artists Party: Saturday: 6 – 8 p.m. at the Farmers’ Market Break-down: Sunday: 5 p.m. Artist Parking: All artists parking will be in Lot A (SE corner of Morse Blvd. and New York Ave. with access from Welbourne Ave. off NY Ave.) and the West Meadow (NE corner of Morse Blvd. and New York Ave. with access from New York Ave.). Large RV’s and trucks over 19’ should park in the West Meadow. Cars or trucks with trailers may park in either lot. Pedestrian access to the Park is available from Canton Ave. on the north, Morse Blvd. in the middle, or New England Ave. on the south. Lots open at 7 a.m. on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Booth Sitting: Available by request. Please make your request by filling out the booth sitting form in your artist's package and submitting it to the Volunteer tent (next to Headquarters) before 9 a.m. on the day you need a sitter. First come, first served! Hospitality Center: Located behind HQ and is open Friday & Saturday: 8 a.m. - 5 p.m. / Sunday: 8 a.m. - 4 p.m. Patrons Program: This year we have in excess of one hundred patrons who are dedicated to purchasing art at our show. During the weekend should you have a visit from one of them with "Art Bucks" in hand and they wish to purchase one of your pieces, please follow the instructions they will provide so that you may be promptly reimbursed. We hope that every one of our 2016 patrons will return next year and bring a good friend with them to join in this dedicated group of art lovers that guarantee more sales for our participating artists. THE JUDGES AND THE JUDGING PROCESS: Friday: At 9 a.m. the three judges will join their assistants to start their assessment of each artist’s body of work. When a judge determines an artist’s work should be considered for an award, the booth will be awarded a “Selected For Judging” ribbon. The artist will select one piece from the booth that best represents the body of work and deliver it to Saint Margaret Mary Family Life Center on North Park Avenue between 5:45 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Please note that past WPSAF award-winning work is not eligible for an award. Saturday: Artists are judged on their body of work. Only the Best of Show, the Edyth Bush Charitable Foundation “Art of Philanthropy”, and the Morse Museum awards are presented for individual works. Awards are presented solely at the discretion of the judges. Ribbons will be distributed after 1 p.m. Checks will be distributed at the Artists Party (in exchange for a completed W-9 form). JUDGES FOR 2016: Kelly Malec-Kosak of is an artist in Columbus, Ohio and is currently the Chair of Fine Arts at Columbia College of Art & Design. She is a graduate of Miami University with a Bachelor of Arts in Jewelry Design and Metalsmithing and a MFA in Jewelry/Metal Arts from the California College of the Arts. Kelly has participated in Solo, Group, Invitational Exhibitions and Competitive Exhibitions since 1995. Wally Mason is Director of the Sheldon Museum of Art at University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Prior to the Sheldon Museum, he was the director of the Haggerty Museum of Art at Marquette University and the University of Maine Museum of Art. Wally has curated over 50 exhibitions with a concentration in photography. Barbara Rogers of Tucson, Arizona has exhibited widely including solo exhibitions at major galleries and museums in San Francisco, Seattle, New York, Chicago, Pittsburgh, Scottsdale, Germany, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. Her paintings are in major public and private collections including The San Francisco Museum of Art, The Scottsdale Museum of Contemporary Art and The Tucson Museum of Art. AWARDS: $72,500 plus Patron Purchase Awards.

The 57th Winter Park Sidewalk Art Festival

ARTISTS PARKING INSTRUCTIONS Artist parking is by permit in the two (2) City parking lots located at New York Avenue on either side of Morse Boulevard. Artists should have parking passes displayed on their dashboards to expedite access into the parking area. Spaces are limited and are available on a first come basis. 1. Entry into the main paved artist parking (Lot A) is via Welbourne Ave off S. New York Ave.

This lot is shared with vendors on the eastern-most row, nearest the railroad tracks. Please do not park in these areas. Place your Parking Pass on your dashboard with its number visible. You will be directed where to park by a Festival attendant.

• There will be about 110+ spaces in this lot. Come early. • The lot is open each day, Friday through Sunday, at 7 a.m. • Cars or trucks with trailers MUST park in contiguous spaces end to end. • Large RV’s and trucks over 19’ should park in the West Meadow parking area. • Artists with trailers, who plan on leaving the trailer overnight, should have an orange cone for their car space in order to park

next to their trailer upon return. • The lot will be closed by barricades shortly after 9 a.m. each morning. If you need to leave during the day and move a

barricade to do so, please put it back in place before departing. • Cars without passes will be reported to the Police Department. • Pedestrian access to the Park is Canton Ave. on the north, Morse Boulevard in the middle, or New England Ave. on

the south. 2. Additional parking is located in the WEST MEADOW, which is the grass lot north of Morse Boulevard.

However, you will only be allowed one entry and one exit due to the preservation of the grass.

Place your Parking Pass on your dashboard with its number visible. You will be directed where to park by a Festival attendant.

• There will be about 100+ spaces in this lot. Come early. • The lot is open each day, Friday through Sunday, at 7 a.m. • There are some specially marked extended spaces for larger vehicles over 19’ and cars/trucks with trailers. Follow the

instructions given by the attendant. • Artists with trailers, who plan on leaving the trailer overnight, should have an orange cone for their car space in order to park

next to their trailer upon return. • The lot will be closed by barricades shortly after 9 a.m. each morning. If you need to leave during the day and move a

Thursday, Load-In for Artists with Appointments:Arrive at West Meadow and follow attendant’s instructions, then move to Park Avenue where Police will have additional instructions.

Friday, Load-In for Artists in Booths 1-69:Follow arrows to Park Avenue where Police will give additional instructions. Vehicles must leave Park Avenue by 8:30 am.

Sunday Evening Load-Out for all Artists:The Police have this well organized and will park you as close as possible to your booth area. Follow arrows to Park Avenue and form two lines - those with booths in North Park on the right and those with booths in South Park on the left. Then follow Police directions.
