It’s only been a few days since the last show attended (Paris) and TuttoArabi is already in Egypt at the important show of Rabab Stud, in the city of Giza,

Cairo. This area is very relevant as one of the most famous touristic and archeological sites in the world, a few hundred meters from the magnificent pyramids. The great Pyramids of Giza, also known as the Pyramid of Cheops or the Pyramid of Khufu, is the largest of the three necropolis of Giza. It is also the oldest of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Not very far the Pyramid of Khafre

has been built by the Fourth-Dynasty Pharaoh Khafre who built also the Sphinx of Giza. The Pyramid of Menkaure is the smallest of the three main Pyramids of Giza. It is thought to have been built to serve as the tomb of the Fourth-Dynasty Egyptian Pharaoh Menkaure.Giza is a caotic area where hundreds of tourists from all around the world come to visit the archeological sites. The Egyptian Museum, now in the centre of the city, will be moved to this area next year to gather the visitors in Giza and simplify the driveability of Cairo, a city of 20.000.000 inhabitants.

During the days 10th, 11th and 12th December the show has been held involving many breeders and a lot of supporters. The service in the VIP area has been impeccable as always. The lavish gala dinner in the gardens of the stables has been offered by Sheik Kaled Bin Laden.At the end of the three day show, the egyptian breeders have welcomed the guests by the open day at their farms. TuttoArabi has visited two of them: Al Bawady Stud meeting Mr. Ahmed Abdel Razek and his son Adel, and Al Baydaa Stud of Mr.

Ahmed El Telawy.7 judges have been invited to judge: from France Mr. Eric Gear, from Qatar Mr. Hendrik Mens, from Bahrain Mr. Elyas Faraj, from Germany Mr. Manfred Hain, from Austria Mr. Manfred Neubacher, from Saudi Arabia Mr. Majed Abdullah Al Mehyawi and from Cairo, Egypt, Mr. Mohamed Badrawi. The Ringmaster has been Dr. Mohammed Hamad. The Scores has been given by the pleasant voice of Mrs. Nabila Al Ali from Kuwait. The Disciplinary Committee

has been composed by Mr. Quelhazi Kaies (UAE), Dr. Asmaa Mohamed Shaltout (Egypt) and several other vets who have managed the formalities about the 171 horses entered at this show edition. As often happens, the one year old fillies classes are the largest ones. But the classes have been even divided into 6 categories. Numbers show that in Egypt breeding arabian horses and mostly the straight egyptian is considered a worthwhile and meaningful practise.

Compared to the last edition this year less horses have been entered but the list of breeders and studs has been redoubled (40 in 2015).Even this fact let us know how much the prizemoney given to the first 5 classified in each category is important to the breeders, who work hard to improve the quality year after year.Enjoy the champions and the special awards in the pictures by our photographer Mr. Mohammad M.Abu-Haimed.
