to give you some fire safety tips.#1
Always have a meeting spot in
case of fire.#2 Always make sure
the batteries in your fire alarms are
checked twice a year.#3 Never
leave any kind of fire
unattended.#4 If you ever catch
fire don’t go off running remember
stop, drop , and roll. #5 Always
stay low so smoke won’t get into
your body. #6 If there is a fire
never go back into the building you
were inside until the firemen say
you can go back inside. #7
Remember to have practice fire

5th graders sat down with the
new officer in Aurelia, Officer
Samuelson, and asked him a
few questions.
Q: Do you like this new job?
A: “ Yes. I stopped for 4-4½
years to train dogs then I
missed it so I got back in it.
Q: Do you think it is hard to
train dogs?
A:” It requires patience but can
be hard. Every dog is different
like every student. If I didn’t
want to be a cop, I wanted to be
a teacher.”
Q: Do you have kids?
A: “Yes I have 3 kids. I’m very
involved. That really is the
reason to be here In Aurelia. #1
thing is being a dad.”

was a touchdown . The other one
was not a touchdown. When we
interviewed Cade Rohwer, he said
“Our team has a lot of good players
and plays. We have a great
defense and our defense has not
given up any points this year. Our
offense is really good too and has
made a lot of key plays this season.
The offense has scored eleven
touchdowns this season. Our
defense has had 3 interceptions this
season.” And for 5th

Dear 5th Gradeby: Levi, Jacob, Keinna
Dear 5th grade,
At recess the other day, I saw two
kids being mean to each other and I
didn’t know what to do. At first, I just
watched but then it made me feel bad
how they were being mean to each
other so I walked away. I feel bad
because I think maybe I should have
told a teacher, but I didn’t want them to
know I told on them because then they
might be mean to me. I don’t know
what I should have done. What
should I have done?
Confused
Dear Confused,
It was right that you walked away,
but you should have told a teacher.
They can forgive you for telling,
because they would forget about it after
a while. If you had told a teacher it
could have prevented someone from
getting hurt. We understand how you
feel but we have to do the right thing
sometimes, even if it’s hard to tell on
your friend.
Sincerely, 5th grade
If you have any questions or
concerns, feel free to write in to
the 5th graders.
