She was the daughter of John and DIary Murrell who long since passed from earth to heaven She was a sister of Rev S L Murrell of the Louisville Conference who was for four years Presiding Elder of the Columbia District She was the last of her fathers family save one Jesse Q Murrell once a merchant of this town and now living In Fort Worth Texas He is now nearly ninety years old and is in good health She was married to Moses Medaris Febuary 15 1845 who departed thisI life about two months since in hope of a blessed immortality and she has quickly gone to join him on the other bright shore to part no more She was converted when quite young and join- ed the Methodist church and for near ly seventy years walked in the light of Gods truth and let her light shine before those around her and especial- ly ¬ around her home She was never very vigorous but had a good measure of energy and was busy all through life She was very even tempered rarely if ever showing any lack of patienceShe a good neighbor and was greatly beloved by those with whom she mixed und mingled She never re- covered from the shock her husbandst death gave her but with plaining spirit she bore her sorrows un- til death put a period to all her troud bles and the gulden gates swung upon its hinges and she passed int the heavenly city to join many loved ones gone before May the God of all consolation com fort the Mrs Martha Medaris was born inAdair county Kentucky July 29 1817

and died at her home near GlenvllleMarch 13 1900 She was the daughterof John and DIary Murrell who longsince passed from earth to heavenShe was a sister of Rev S L Murrellof the Louisville Conference who wasfor four years Presiding Elder of theColumbia District She was the lastof her fathers family save one JesseQ Murrell once a merchant of thistown and now living In Fort WorthTexas He is now nearly ninety yearsold and is in good health
