On 2nd October, A Special Assembly was conducted on the occasion

of Gandhi-Shastri Jayanti. Gandhiji’s bhajans were sung and staff

members highlighted the achievements of Gandhiji and Shastri ji.

Glimpses of Annual Sports Day 2017


On 13th October, The Annual Day of the School was celebrated.

Functional Head (Tech) Mr Seetharamulu Ch was the Chief Guest.All

the FH’s of GCW and NCJW were present for the same. A large

number of Parents attended the function.

On 14th November, Alumni Day and Childrens’ day

celebrated. Fete organised. Mr Gaurang Panara

(Comedian of National Fame) and Mr Kanwar Lal

(Mimicry Artist) entertained the Alumni students

and the School children. An entertainment

programme was held by our school children of

orchestra and dance for Alumni students

14th to 19th November, International Kids Film

Festival of School Cinema organised for various

classes and Parents and children also invited for the

same.


On 24th November, A Talk on Information Security and Precautions to

be taken while surfing the net by Mr Sandeep Patel and Mr Deendyal

Paliwal from GCW IT Department.

30th Nov to 3rd Dec, Principal attended the Principals’ Conference on

“Enhancing the Effectiveness and Impact of Schools “ at

Gyanodaya,Mumbai.

5th December, Principal attended Regional Summit of Principals on

“Managing Behaviour Problems in Adolescents –New Challenges”

organised by ICTRC at Rajkot.

9th December, Principal attended a workshop at Ahmedabad

titled”Master Trainers in Remodelled Structure of Assessment for

Secondary classes”.


12th December, A Lecture by Army Personnel's to senior class students for careers in Defence and a motivational talk on education.

16th December, Brahamkumkari Dr Neha Bhen from Ahmedabad and Anu Behen addressed the students and the parents on Stress Free Life

17th December, A workshop on Motivation was attended by five staff members conducted by Mr Srinivasan at the Learning Centre.


Glimpses of Annual Sports Day 2017


23rd December, Annual Sports day of the School held. The Unit Head Shri M.V.Ramana Rao sir inaugurated the meet. All the FH’s were present for the occasion. A large number of parents and guests came to grace the occasion.

o 13th January. Career Counselling session by the Coast Guard

o 18th January, Painting and Drawing Competition organised by

Coast Guard people .6 students participated

o 19th January, Poster making competition held in the school for

classes 3 and above for the celebration of Safety Week

o 20th January, Road Safety Rally taken out by students under

Safety Dept of GCW .It was flagged off by the UH .All the FH’s

were present for the occasion


21st January, A group of 8 girls along with our Dance teacher Ms Mittal Goswami went to Jafrabad and presented a dance under the Mines Safety Week.

22nd January, Saraswati Pooja was performed in the school on the occasion of Basant Panchami.

23rd January, Drawing and Quiz competition was organised by the Logistics department for the students of class III – X.

Glimpses of Republic Day 2018


26th of January is a gala day for every Indian. The 69th Republic Day was celebrated with patriotic fervour and gaiety in the S&R club ground by the school in front of a huge gathering. The celebrations commenced with the customary unfurling of the national flag by the Chief Guest Shri Seetharamulu Ch. Sir (Functional Head–Technical, UTCL, GCW) followed by the National Anthem. In his speech, the Chief Guest highlighted an insight on the various accomplishments achieved by the school and the GCW plant. The Sarpanch of nearby villages and the Functional Heads of GCW were present during the function. Like last year this year 8 tableaux of different departments of GCW participated in the parade. The 8 tableaux consist of School, CSR Activity, Fire & Safety Dept, Medical Centre, TPP, Mechanical & Electrical Dept, Jetty dept, Mine Dept, etc. indicating various achievements, activities, models of the departments. The school students also performed patriotic songs and cultural dances energetically which was appreciated by all. The programme ended with the distribution of sweets.....
