• Periodic Markets- an open air-market set up 1-2 times a week

• Forests provide timber• Rivers- travel & trade• Dams-hydroelectricity• Oil, Nat. gas, coal • Minerals- Copper, Uranium, tin, Zinc, • Diamonds, gold and cobalt
