In March 2020, teachers and students were required to quickly pivot to learning online, as schools in India closed.
The Academy adapted and students continued to learn in a rigorous environment and prepare for final exams. Fortunately, most Internal Assessments and coursework were complete when the IB decided to cancel May 2020 examinations. Final grades were awarded using Internal Assessment grades, teacher predicted grades, and their accuracy based on historical trends for the Academy.
Predicted grades are generated using student performance in exams from DP 1, summative assessments, and Internal Assessment predictions in consultation with CEM projections. To maintain rigorous assessment there will be examinations in November 2020 and a mock examination in February 2021. The predicted grades are given based on all work submitted by the students and their classroom participation.
