Data and information flow

• National / Department sends data to Dpt Hubmaster for distribution

• Dpt Hubmaster sends data to Div Cmdrs and Div Hubmasters

• If applicable, Div Hubmaster sends data to Dist Cmdr and Dist Hubmaster.

• If applicable, Dist Cmdr sends data on to Post Comdrs and Post Hubmasters

• If applicable, Post Hubmaster distributes to all Post members

• If the initial data requests a response, the chain is reversed

Is Hubmaster appointed or elected?

• Department Hubmaster is appointed by Department Commander

• Division, District and Post Hubmasters are appointed by their Commanders.

• Why are they appointed instead of being elected?– They are appointed so that they can be

replaced by their Commander if necessary.– Post Commanders must appoint a Post

Hubmaster as soon as possible and provide their name and email address to the District Hubmaster.

Duties of Hubmaster

• All Hubmasters are tasked to read their email on a daily basis, more often if possible

• Hubmasters use their own PC’s• Hubmasters use their own internet

connection for email• Hubmasters are expected to read email and

respond immediately upon reading.• Responses are either pass data on down

stream, or respond with data back upstream• Hubmasters are to be added to the Meeting

Agenda, where they will pass along all information received during the past month

Notes on Hubmasters

• The Hubmaster position and procedures will be changing over time.

• Post Commanders must report their Hubmasters on the annual Post Certification form and is used in the Blue Book.
