• British General Clinton stopped at Yorktown. He was surrounded. As he found out he couldn’t be picked up by British ships, as the Americans had tricked the British into thinking they were in New York. The British were bombarded and defeated. This proved to be the end of the Revolution, in the Americans

favor.
