I am a Writer! I write what I feel, I draw what I see, Read my stories and learn about me. Don’t judge my neatness or how perfect I spell, Because I’m learning to write,
And I’m doing very well! adapted from Sharon Nevores
I Can Read! I Can Write!
I can read! I can read! I open up my book; I read the words I see. I can read! I can read! I didn’t think I could, but now I know I can.
I can read from left to right. I make each word match, too. When I come to a tricky part, I know just what to do.
Sometimes I check the pictures And think of what makes sense. Sometimes I stretch the words out loud, Sometimes I start again.
Writing is like reading, A little turned around. I get to choose just what to say And then I write it down.
I can write the words myself There are many that I know. Some words are so much alike It’s easy to write those!
I can read! I can write! I didn’t think I could, But now I know I can!
