It will not encourage our guilty tendency for poetic tangents. We have, at last, become reasonable and pragmatic, changing sides and opting for action. It is up to us to work behind the scenes in order to deny destiny, to escape from adversity, by heading off the beaten path. We have to make decisions, take actions, shake things up without offending anybody. We must work discreetly, in the background, to create a new timelessness. It is up to us to invent a new aesthetic. TAKE LIGHTLY

Play down or fluff up ideas, make them immaterial.Blow away the cobwebs, put clouds in bottles, sing in the rain.Create a transparent bubble, break the glass ceiling.

Colours are barely there, then areswept away, rubbed with chalk byinvisible beings, incorporeal ghosts.Shiny black outlines form the contours.Grey turned blue from the cold, frozen pastel green, delicately distilledpink, dusty beige.

Elastic materials fold, stretch and grow rounder, become pearlised and are polished.Blurred surfaces, opalinetransparencies, velvety perforations, satiny shine. The skin of a statue, the gelatinoustransparency of an oyster.Frosty texture, talc-like texture, icy texture.Blurred contrasts, misty drawings.

TAKEPLEASURE

Sweet street, sweet art.

The era of nasty graffiti artists is over, revolutionary slogans are finished, longlive the knitting revolution!Everyone does what they like and goesout into the city.We practice “yarn bombing” to installcrocheted works of art on barricades,we play table-football in railwaystations and piano while we’re waitingfor the bus. We fill cracks in the concretewith pieces of Lego.Artists have also adopted this innocentvein, rediscovering the sense of touchby working with materials in 3D.

Desirable, appetising, comfortingcolours. Colours of candies, ofregressive cakes. The pink of Turkishdelight, the brick red of quince jelly, sugary white, honey yellow.

Every day, reassuring and modestmaterials. A desire for soft, woolly, furry textures. Round and foamyconsistencies, plump grains.Felted appearances, marled wool, long combed hair.Bubble lamb, alpaca leather.

SHOE FOCUS, THE FORUM DEDICATED TO FOOTWEAR FASHION INFORMATION AT PREMIÈRE VISION PARISBecause footwear has its own codes and its own inspirations, the Shoe Focus forum from Première Vision Paris showcases a concentration of the material, leather and component highlights from the collections presented at Première Vision Leather & Première Vision Accessories.

For Autumn-Winter 17/18, a desire for lightness and weightlessness, a desire to see the world upside down, a poetic utopia that disregards reality, takes us on a journey through the clouds to see the Earth from on high. A silent, cotton-wool universe that encourages dreams, offering a peaceful interlude and giving wings to our leaden feet.
