Looking To God John Wesley was walking one day with a deeply troubled man who ex- pressed his doubt of God's goodness. "1 don't know what to do with all my difficulties" he said. As they were walking, Wesley no- tices a cow looking over a wall. "Do you know why that cow is looking over the wall?" asked Wesley. His troubled friend said "No". Wesley replied. "She is looking over tlie stone wall because she cannot see through it." He then con- tinued, 'That is what you must do with your wall of difficulties, look over and above it." Faith says: 'T will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometli from the Lord, which made heaven and earth" Psalm 121:1, 2, God declares that is such help in the time of need. "God is our re- fuge and strength, a very present help in trouble" Psalm 46:1. Again in Psalm 50:15 God says: * 'Call upon Me in the day of trouble: I will deliver thee, and thou shalt glorify Me." God has given us die history of Israel, who experienced God's mir- aculous help over and over, .so that we might see that He does help those in need. Also individ'jals as Abraham, Ja- cob, Moses and David experienced that divine help. These men tell of the deliverance they received from God. God calls us today to look to Him over the wall ot sin. Isaiah 45:22 Look unto Me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I a m God, and there is none else".
