Calvin A stressed-out father-

to-be Calvin (Ice Cube) inherits his father's shop on the south side of Chicago, where business is not exactly booming.

Dinka Dinka (Leonard

Howze), a recent African immigrant who's too shy to express his feelings for Terri.

Ricky Ricky (Michael Ealy),

an ex-con who Calvin is trying to keep straight . He already has two strikes and a third one will put him back in jail. His cousin J.D. sets him up.

Eddie Eddie (Cedric the

Entertainer), the old-timer with his own unique perspective on black life. Dates from Calvin's father's day and doesn't seem to do much but sit in his chair and shoot off his mouth. The old wise man that makes jokes.

Terri Terri (Eve), a hot-

tempered woman with a trifling boyfriend. Terri is angered quickly due to problems with cheating boyfriend.

Jimmy Jimmy (Sean Patrick

Thomas) a college educated snob who never fails to show off his high brow college education.

Isaac Isaac (Troy Garity), a

reverse Oreo (white on the outside, black on the inside), a white B-Boy, whom no one is ready to let cut their hair. They make him earn his stripes.

J.D. J.D (Anthony

Anderson) spends a painful day trying to crack open the ATM he's stolen from the grocery store across the street with his cousin, Ricky’s truck.
