ProductJaguar’s in-house designers and engineers continuously strive to keep the brand ahead of competitors by creating beautifully designed, innovative cars that stand apart from mainstream premium offerings.

The new 2012 range not only embodies Jaguar’s brand ideals – innovation, bold design and effortless high performance – but also includes substantial changes and improvements that enhance product performance, refi nement and economy, while design modifi cations strengthen contemporary appeal.

For the luxury Jaguar XJ saloon, a suite of enhancements to the interior and options list includes a new rear seat comfort package that reinforces the ultimate executive limousine experience.

The new XK range builds on the car’s award-winning reputation as a high-performance sporting GT. A new range-topping variant,

the XKR-S, creates a performance fl agship for Jaguar by becoming the brand’s most powerful production car, capable of achieving

0–60 mph in 4.2 seconds. Design modifi cations to the front and

rear of the entire XK range have enhanced its visual

appeal and special order upgrades enable the discerning driver to further emphasise either its luxury or performance features.

The XF showcases major technical

advances, including an all-new, state-of-the-art

2.2 litre four-cylinder turbodiesel engine that comes with a fuel- and

emissions-saving intelligent Stop/Start system – a fi rst for Jaguar. This model stands out as the most fuel-effi cient Jaguar ever made.

The brand’s rich history of sporting saloons and cutting-edge models dates back 90 years with classics such as the SS100, the E-Type and the XJ saloon continually pushing boundaries – an approach that lives on in the current range. Jaguar is a forward thinking, innovative and environmentally conscious brand that is committed to producing beautiful, fast cars.

Did You Know?

Jaguar’s original straight-six engine was fi rst

developed by engineers on night-time fi re watch at the Jaguar plant during World

War II. The XK version, introduced in 1949, went on

to power Jaguar cars for more than four

decades.

more than 80 awards for the XF alone. One of its most recent is the prestigious Auto Express Car of the Decade award, voted for by more than 300,000 readers. In the What Car? Green Awards 2010, the XJ was voted Best Luxury Car and at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards 2011, journalists from the Association of Scottish Motoring Writers named the XKR-S Best Sports Car 2011.

Recent DevelopmentsUnveiled at Geneva in September 2011, the C-X16 concept marks a new chapter for Jaguar. The two-seater hybrid combines the heritage of the brand’s award-winning design with groundbreaking performance to create the most compact and responsive Jaguar in a generation.

Its supercharged V6 petrol engine produces 380 PS (280 kW) and 332 lb ft (450 Nm) of torque. The performance of the C-X16 is further supplemented by a Formula 1-inspired hybrid boost system with a steering-wheel mounted button for on-demand acceleration. Combined

with the ability to travel at speeds of up to 50 mph under electric power alone, and CO2 emissions of just 165 g/km, the C-X16 sets a high standard for the next generation of sustainable sports cars.

As a mark of Jaguar’s commitment to innovation, it will be investing £1.5 billion in new product development every year for the next fi ve years – which, as a proportion of revenue, is the largest in the premium sector.

PromotionIn early 2011 Jaguar founded in-house creative agency Spark44 to spearhead a new creative strategy across all of its brand communications.

The prestigious and dynamic nature of its product, however, means experiential activities are the cornerstone of its promotions strategy. Hundreds of events are hosted each year – from track experiences to the Goodwood Festival of Speed – that aim to encourage

people to get behind the wheel of a Jaguar. The brand also teams up with high-

profi le partners such as British Airways, The Savoy, Coutts

Bank, Stoke Park and Caprice Holdings for additional events and promotions.

As offi cial vehicle provider to the England Cricket Team, Team Sky and the Lawn

Tennis Association, Jaguar’s sporting

credentials are fi rmly established. The brand

has extended its sporting association further by supporting

a selection of other clubs, venues and charitable causes. The Jaguar Academy of Sport, in particular, demonstrates its long-term commitment to recognise, celebrate and inspire the next generation of British sporting heroes.

Brand Values Jaguar’s brand values are symbiotic with its product range, combining pace with elegance, quality, value, effi ciency and performance.

The XJ-S completed the 3,000-mile coast-to-coast

Cannonball Run in the US in 1975, in just 32 hours and 51 minutes – a record

that stood for four years.

The XJ220 was developed by a group of Jaguar employees known as the

Saturday Club, who worked on special projects in their spare time. Only 300
