Two Streams
1. Stream ASchools using English as the MOI in ALL classes and subjects
(13 participating schools)
2. Stream BSchools using English as the MOI in
SOME classes and subjects (6 participating schools)
RequirementsRequirements
Participating schools should opt for their preferred stream for competitions.
Participating schools should:- assign at least one teacher to be the adjudicator(s) for the competitions;- provide their school hall at least once as venue for the competitions; and- suggest at least 3 motions for the competitions.

Each debating team should: - consist of three debaters and one to three
stand-by members. - have a teacher who acts as the
coordinator. 4. Team members are preferably
students of Secondary 3 or above.

Venue ArrangementsVenue Arrangements
Participating schools should provide their school halls at least once for use as venue for the Preliminaries up to the Semi-Finals.
Their students and teachers will be responsible for the competition arrangements such as the seating plan and appointment of a Master of Ceremony.

Team AwardsTeam Awards
Certificates will be awarded to the winning team of each round of the debating competition.
A trophy will be awarded to the Champion Team and certificates will be awarded to the First Runners Up Team, the Second Runners Up Team and the Third Runners Up Team.
Individual AwardsIndividual Awards
Certificates will be awarded to the best debater of each round of the debating competition.
Trophies will be awarded to the best two debaters of the Grand Final.
