We Did The Puyallup!!

The Puyallup Fair has been showcasing student artwork for the past 30 years. This year, there were over 1,300 entries from 54 high schools and middle schools in our area. 31 NTMS art students had art work accepted into the juried art show. A panel of professional art educators judged the entries, and they awarded 19 ribbons to our NT artists. We couldn’t be prouder.

A Best in Show plus 1st place blue ribbon was awarded to Taylen Ho for her clay sculpture titled “Just a Simple Meal”. Other first place ribbons were awarded to Cole Armstrong, Destinee Barnett, Raquel Reising, and Anique Kannas. Anique was also awarded a “People’s Choice of the Day” ribbon. Second place ribbons were awarded to Mariana Diaz, Madison Lund, and Amaya Smith. Bradley Harp and Jasmine Kwon walked away with the 3rd place ribbons. Use Schoology to View Your Child’s Classes

To view your child's activity in his or her classes, you can log in to Schoology at https://app.schoology.com/login to create a Schoology parent account. When you create a parent ac-count, you’ll need a parent access code, which you can get by emailing your child's name to the Technology Integration Coach, Mr. Baker. [email protected]. If you want to download the Schoology mobile app, you can do that after your account is created.

Annual Student Information Update This year, we will be using Skyward Family Access to verify and update student information,

such as phone numbers and emergency contacts. Please log into Family Access and follow the di-rections there. If you do not know your account information, go to the Family Access logon screen on the Dieringer website and enter the email address on file with us. Account information will be emailed to you. Please complete this verification process for each of your Dieringer students as soon as possible.

HOUSE OF TERROR On Friday, October 27th, the Red Peppers will hold their annual fundraiser at NTMS. The House of Terror promises to be a screaming good time as your favorite Bulldogs scare the stuffin’ out of everyone attending. Be sure to wear your ear plugs and blin-ders! The program runs from 6-7:30PM and the cost is $5 per ticket. Please note that this activity is not designed for young children. There will be a few al-ternate activities for the young and weak at heart.

Please join us and help keep our schools, families and communities healthy and flu free this sea-son!

The Dieringer School District is committed to helping keep our students, parents and our community healthy throughout the entire flu season. That’s why we have partnered with the Seattle Visiting Nurse Association to provide a “flu shot clinic” for our schools. According to the CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention), the single best way to protect you and your family from influenza is to receive a “flu shot” each year. The CDC recommends that EVERYONE, over six months of age, should be vaccinated against the flu.

Clinic Location(s):

Monday, October 16th from 2:30-6:30 pm in the North Tapps Middle School library

Please complete the attached Patient Consent Form and bring it with you to the flu shot clinic. Additional forms will be availa-ble on site if you forget. NOTE: No Flumist is available this year due to concerns about decreased effectiveness.

The Clinic is open to all Dieringer School District faculty, staff, students, and their families (children four years of age and older). Please note that students under the age of 18 will need a Patient Consent Form signed by a parent or guardian. All participants will be asked to provide their health insurance information (card) to receive an immunization. SVNA will electroni-cally bill the insurance plan for your flu shot. They bill almost all insurance plans, but are not able to accept Cigna. Flu shots are considered preventive care and normally are not subject to deductibles or co-pays. Students 18 years and under without current health insurance coverage will be offered a flu shot at no cost. Adults without current insurance coverage may pay the $30.00 immunization fee for standard Trivalent with cash or check.

Yearbooks Deadline:

We have a fantastic school year ahead of us. As we anticipate the mem-

ories, friendships and special events ahead, we’re also looking forward to

one of our favorite traditions—the yearbook. Reserve your copy now!

There may be a few overrun copies available in June, but that varies from

year to year. Don’t miss out; $30.00 ensures that a copy will be re-

served. Payments can be made in the office (along with the yearbook

signing agreement). Monday, October 31st is the deadline.

Have an appointment?

Just a reminder, if your student is late due to a doctor, dentist, or other appointment; please bring a note from their office into our office to excuse your student. A stu-dent tardy without a note will go in as an unexcused absence.

Consent & Waiver Forms

If you do not want your student information released or used in our publications or on our website, you may fill out a Consent and Waiver form and return it to the school office. The forms can be found on the District Website, For Fami-lies, Forms and Publications.
