PRAYER PARTNERS

THE CALLAsk God to work in the hearts of each team member:- To have a love for the lost- To have a love for the saints- To stay close to their first love- To be open to His guidance- To stay broken and humble-- To not become weary of well doing- Pray for the unity of the ranks- Pray that your ward knows the difference between illness and attack- Pray that they will have energy each Tuesday. They will be under severe attack

Do not wait for your tDo not wait for your team member to call you. They may not have the spiritual energy. They need you. If they “do not feel up to going” on any given Tuesday or are otherwise discouraged, encourage them. Lift them up before the Lord. You may make the difference between success and failure.

““Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matthew 26:41

“In everything I did“In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.’ ” Acts 20:35

WWe are asking you to take on a larger part of the battle. The actual time involved is minimal. We are simply asking you to make this special prayer a part of your unceasing prayer life. The Call has been successfully making disciples for the Lord Jesus for 2 decades and this success is primarily due to our prayer ministers.

As paAs part of The Call training we go out and actively share the good news on Tuesday night from 7:15PM to 8:30PM. We meet for class at 6:15PM and the group of workers is broken into teams of three with a trainer leading each team. The team is sent to a specific neighborhood and seeks that special, divine appointment that God has for themhas for them. After the “on the job” training the group comes together again for debriefing and a short time of prayer. What God does each week is amazing and you are invited to the debrief time, if you wish to join us, from 8:55PM to 9:20PM each Tuesday night.

These are the things to guide you in your own prayer as God leads:- Ask God to protect your charge and the other Call servants- Ask God to put the teams of 3 together in His perfect way-- Ask God to help the team find their divine appointment- Ask God to guild the teachers and trainers in their work- Ask God to give the team unity of heart and mind

We are asking you to come along side with a specific member of The Call training program and hold up their arms.

““As long as Moses held up his hands, the Israelites were winning, but whenever he lowered his hands, the Amalekites were winning. When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained stremained steady till sunset.” Exodus 17:11-12

This will require you to give of your time to pray with your team member at least one time a week over the phone or in person. We are also asking you to make them, and The Call in general, a part of your intercessory prayer life.

“As for other matters, brothers and sisters, pray for us that the message of the Lord may spread rapidly and be honored, just as it was with you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:1

“Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.” Luke 18:1

It would be unfair iIt would be unfair if we did not tell you that this will put you in the middle of the spiritual battle that rages around us. Of course as a believer you are already joined in the war and so you ought to be fighting even now.

““For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for the pulling down of strongholds, casting down arguments and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…” 2 Cor. 10:3-5

What are we asking you to do?So this we shall do. As a member of The Call prayer support ministry you will also face heavy opposition from the devil and his minions. It is therefore very important that you take the commitment to pray very seriously and with the highest level of commitment. You are making a commitment of 10 weeks. Do not let the enemy convince you thconvince you that you are not worthy for Jesus has clothed you in His righteousness.

“I delight greatly in the Lord; my soul rejoices in my God. For he has clothed me with garments of salvation and arrayed me in a robe of his righteousness, as a bridegroom adorns his head like a priest, and as a bride adorns herself with her jewels.” Isaiah 61:10

“Blessed a“Blessed are those whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are covered. Blessed is the one whose sin the Lord will never count against them.” Romans 4:7-8

““And be found in him, not having a righteousness of my own that comes from the law, but that which is through faith in Christ - the righteousness that comes from God on the basis of faith.” Philippians 3:9

PlPlease be careful here. Should we sin that grace may abound? Heaven forbid! But many times it is Satan that traps us in sin and then accuses us in our heart and before God.

Each person who is involved with The Call ministry is asked to find and maintain two people to pray for them and The Call ministry. This is a very important part of The Call and without this prayer support we would not attempt this work. When a person becomes involved with The Call evangelism and discipleship pdiscipleship program, they become involved with spiritual warfare at the highest (or lowest) level. God has told us in His word that He is much greater than our enemy the devil.

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” 1 John 4:4

He has promised to protect us all and we know He will. But He has also told us to protect and cover ourselves in prayer.

““Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.”EphEph. 6:11 -12 “

And pAnd pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord’s people. Pray also for me, that whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chainschains. Pray that I may declare it fearlessly, as I should.” Ephesians 6:18-20
