As you can see our opening sequence begins with an establishing shot in london Bridge which helps to empahise thefact that the film is set in London. In addition we decided to use an establishing shot as it helps the viewers tounderstand where the film is set.The location is a very important part of our opening sequence and we wanted tomakesure that itwas obvious to the audience that it was in London and starting off with ashot of London Bridge doesthis perfectly. We hadchosen the location for numerousreasons. Firstly, London is a multicultural city with manydifferent kinds ofpeople suchas wealth, raceand religion. Because of these differences in people I feel thiscreatesunpredictability and this helpsto create unease and mystery for the audience.Furthermore, there are obviouslyvery magnificent buildings and locations in thecity of London and allows usto get some reallygood establishingshots. The history of thecity and some of the buildings mixed with themodern day buildings gives a nicecontrast tothe shots and helps emphasize the location the audience. The lighting inthis shot isquite dark and thedark andgloomy skyline helps represent the mood of themain character (Richard Porter) and the mood of what would be afilm.

In this screenshot you can see moving traffic which we as a group decided was ideal inorder for theaudience to understand the real atmosphere of london. Also we added super imposed image as it iswhat you expect to see in a real opening sequence. We had included some shots of the streets of London as we wanted to show a contrastbetween the magnificent high-priced business buildings tothe middle class streets and thisemphasizes the differences in class andthe importance of money to

the audience. As youcan see we have establishing shots of average pedestrians and middle classcars andtoshow themiddleclass environment. We also have abus stop to the right ofthescreen, thisis also used to represent the middle class environment. We had also liked to show thatthisparticularday or time was no differentand this was an ordinary day. We have also includedthedirectors name in the shot.

In this screenshot have a low angle shot of 30 St Mary Axe which is also known as the Gherkin .We have used this low a well known building in London. The interesting and complexarchitecture of the Gherkin could give theviewers the thought that the film may be averycomplex and thoughtprovoking story so this may draw theaudience in. T he music will go wellwiththis shot as the music is very mysterious and dark as is thebuildings inthis shot. Some people

don't know what happens in the Gherkins thiscould create more mystery for ouropeningsequence. As you can seeingthis shot the fairly old and run down buildings are very close to themodernGherkin so this could show how close and compact the different classesare.

Here we have a medium shot of Canary Wharf tube station which was our main location as weneeded to portray our character correctly because my group and I realised that the choice of location was vital and also the costume. This establishing shot is important as it tellsthe audiencehow the main character(Richard Porter) gets to London andtells the audience that this locationwillbe very important in the future. This isCanaryWharf Station and has a veryinteresting abstract

arc design for theentrance to the station. Inmy opinion Ifeel this design fits in with themysteriousatmosphere we tried tocreate through our opening sequence. We also seesome more ordinarypeoplecoming to and from the station whichgives the impression that this is just likeany ordinaryday inLondon and alsotells theaudience that London isahighly populated city.

Here we have the camera moving sideways which is called panning. We decided to add thisto our opening sequence as it shows the sourrounding of our character which will gives theaudience more understanding. We also decide to use panning in the location Canary Wharf as we wanted the audience to see the rich enviornment that our character is at which wouldhelp us as a group to portray our characther in the best way possible. Moreover as ourcharacter is a business man we decided to add these buildings it would once again help toempathise the living life of our character.

Here we have our main character walking out of the Tube Station with a suitcase also youcan see that our character is smartly dressed as we are trying to portray our character as awealthy business man for our opening sequence. We decided that a meduim shot will suitbest as the shot concentrates mainly on the character and we can see thw whole body of

the character as we are introducing him to the audience. As you can see there is no oncein the image apart from our character which once again empathise the importance of ourcharacter

Here we have a close up of the suitcase which was vital as our plot is revolved around themysterious suitcase moreover we decided that a close up will help the audience tounderstand the importance of the suitcase. Moreover the mise-en-scene here is the suitwhich is a mysterious item also we have picked this specific suitcase as it matched ourcharacters clothing and we weanted the suitcase to not be in any other vibrant colours like

Purple, White or Orange as it will not blend in with the public whcih will no make it lookmysterious
