THE CELEBRATION OF WORSHIPTHE PRELUDE
ANNOUNCEMENTS
† THE CALL TO WORSHIP Leader: Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, who, although He existed in the form of God, did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:5-11 Leader: The Lord be with you. People: And also with you. Leader: Let us worship God.
* † THE HYMNS OF PRAISE..............................................................................(8:30 A.M.)Hymn #101 Come, Thou Almighty King (all verses)Hymn #179 Hallelujah! Thine the Glory (all verses)
Hail to the Lord’s Anointed (11:00 A.M.)
Hail to the Lord’s anointed, great David’s greater Son Hail in the time appointed, His reign on Earth begun His reign on Earth begun
He comes to break oppression, to set the captive freeTo take away transgression, and rule in equity
He comes with comfort speedy to those who suffer wrongTo help the poor and needy, and bid the weak be strong
To give them songs for sighing, their darkness turn to lightWhose souls, condemned and dying, were precious in His sight
He shall come down like showers upon the fruitful EarthLove, joy, and hope, like flowers, spring in His path to birth
The tide of time shall never His covenant removeHis Name shall stand forever, that Name to us is Love

† THE PRAYER OF ADORATION
† THE CONFESSION OF FAITH...........................................................Matthew 28:18-20 Leader: And Jesus came and said to them,
All: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
† THE GLORIA PATRI.......................................................................................(8:30 A.M.) Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Ghost; as it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen, amen.
THE CONFESSION OF SIN
THE ASSURANCE OF PARDONING GRACE The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us. Psalm 103:8, 10-12
THE HYMN OF PARDONING GRACE........................................(8:30 and 11:00 A.M.)His Mercy Is More
What love could remember no wrongs we have doneOmniscient all knowing He counts not their sumThrown into a sea without bottom or shoreOur sins they are many His mercy is more
Praise the Lord His mercy is more Stronger than darkness new every morn Our sins they are many His mercy is more
What patience would wait as we constantly roamWhat Father so tender is calling us homeHe welcomes the weakest the vilest the poorOur sins they are many His mercy is more
What riches of kindness He lavished on usHis blood was the payment His life was the costWe stood 'neath a debt we could never affordOur sins they are many His mercy is more

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: for Thine is the Kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

So send I you by grace made strong to triumphO’er hosts of hell, o’er darkness, death and sinMy name to bear and in that name to conquerSo send I you my victory to win
So send I you to take to souls in bondageThe word of truth that sets the captive freeTo break the bonds of sin, to loose death’s fettersSo send I you to bring the lost to me
So send I you my strength to know in weaknessMy joy in grief, my perfect peace in painTo prove my pow’r, my grace, my promised presenceSo send I you eternal fruit to gain
So send I you to bear my cross with patienceAnd then one day with joy to lay it downTo hear my voice, “Well done, my faithful servantCome share my throne, my kingdom and my crown”
