Blake Sharp in First Round Win Over Domijan
DALLAS — Just 49 minutes. That’s how long it took for former No.4 ranked player James Blake to take out qualifier Alex Domijan in straight sets 6-3, 6-4 during the first round of the Chal-lenger of Dallas presented by Carpet Exchange on Sta-dium Court. Blake will be back on the court Wednesday to face American Denis Kudla. Kudla rolled through his match as well Wednesday in a 6-2, 6-1 victory over Jean Andersen. The No.1 seed and defend-ing Challenger of Dallas sin-gles champ Jesse Levine held on to win his first round
match in three sets as he disposed of lefty Bradley Klahn 6-2, 6-7(4), 6-3. Klahn finished the match with 12 aces in the loss. The 2011 Challenger Sin-gles Champ was not so lucky as Alex Bogomolov Jr. was taken out in straight sets by Ukrainian Denys Molchanov 7-5, 7-6. The No.7 seed, Vasek Popisil also fell short in straight sets 6-3, 7-6(8). German Mischa Zverev moved on against the 21-year-old former Tennessee Vol Tennys Sandgren 6-3, 7-6(5). Member of the 2006 Chal-lenger of Dallas doubles
team champion Bobby Rey-nolds had 10 aces in his win against former NCAA champ Steve Johnson 6-4, 6-4. Also advancing on the sin-gles side of the first full main draw day were Fran-ces’ Pierre-Hugues Herbert, Brazilian Marcelo Demoliner and American Michael Yani. In doubles, Ryan Sweeting and Michael Russell de-feated their youthful oppo-nents Chase Buchanan and Daniel Nguyen. In the only other doubles match on Wednesday, Sandgren and Rhyne Wil-liams took out Daniel Kosa-kowski and Vahid Mirzadeh 6-1, 6-3.

The vision for In-Sync Exotics started in 1998 and was officially established in 2000. As a non-profit organization we are dedicated to the res-
cue of neglected, abused and unwanted exotic felines.
It is our dream that one day there will be no need for rescue facilities, but until that day hap-pens, we will continue to educate the public on the unique attributes and characteristics of our residents; the realities of irresponsible and/or
illegal exotic wild animal ownership and captive breeding; and the need for stronger and enforce-able legislation against those who abuse exotic
wild animals. By visiting schools, churches, organizations,
etc., through our Community Outreach Program we hope to educate as many people as possible on the work we do, and the amazing animals in
our care. As part of our goal of educating the public, we
offer scheduled group tours 7 days a week.

Challenger of Dallas Players Visit “Our Children’s House at Baylor” The children at Our Chil-dren’s House at Baylor got a pleasant surprise as Chal-lenger of Dallas players visited the hospital Tuesday afternoon. ATP professionals Vlad Bondarenko, Tim Smyzcek and Smyzcek’s coach Billy Heiser visited with the chil-dren, played games and signed autographs at the
hospital. Our Children's House at Baylor is a licensed pediat-ric hospital where care is comprehensive and healing is fun. Here, children from infancy through age 18 re-ceive care for developmen-tal or birth disorders, trau-matic injury and severe ill-ness.
