Joint Chemical Congress held every five years since 1984 in Honolulu, Hawaii, Co-sponsored by Chemical Societies in USA, Canada, China, Australia, NZ, and Japan. The 7th Congress, in 2015 attracted 15,800 attendees from all over the globe. CSJ will host the 8th Congress to be held December 15th-20th 2020.

TTTHHHEEE AAANNNNNNUUUAAALLL MMMEEEEEETTTIIINNNGGG The Annual Meeting is held every year at the end of March. The Meeting consists of general presentations, special lectures, open-to-the-public seminars, awardees’ lectures for various CSJ awards, and satellite symposia. The Meeting attracts approximately 8,000 participants each year, and is among the largest scientific meetings in Japan.

"Kagaku-to Kogyou" (Chemistry & Chemical Industry). 4. Student Educational members receive "Kagaku-to Kyoiku"as their membership journal instead of "Kagaku-to Kogyou".

Individual Members Although we do not publish any membership journals in English, members who do not understand Japanese still have the following benefits:

(1) The ability to present a talk or poster at the CSJ annual meeting. (2) Participation in CSJ events at no or reduced registration fee. (3) Subscription to English Journals of CSJ at member rates. (4) The option to rent the hall and rooms of the "Chemistry Building" in Ochanomizu, Tokyo (5) Discounted books and lodging.

Corporate Members* While we do not assume a direct reciprocal relation with corporate members, the support provided by corporate members will help CSJ to extend its activity to promote the development of chemistry and chemical technology and will benefit corporate members indirectly. Corporate members will receive CSJ journals and can send their employees to CSJ annual meeting in accordance with their number of membership units.

The map shows our relative position to major stations, train lines, along with detailed information about the area surrounding the Chemistry Hall. If coming by taxi, it is better to instruct the driver to go to "Yamano-ue Hotel (Hill-top Hotel)” instead of “Chemistry Hall”, since it is a well known landmark among taxi drivers and is less than a one-minute walk from the Chemistry Hall. In the map, the Chemistry Hall is shown by a red mark. JR Ochanomizu Station and the subway station exits are shown by orange marks. When you get off the subway, look for exit numbers before exiting the ticket gates, otherwise you might find yourself in a place quite different as expected.
